It happened because on Walton's first possession we shot the ball and missed and I believe Simpson got the rebound and was fouled in the act of shooting, and they called it on the floor (non shooting foul). Walton took ball out of bounds and Ison was fouled and nothing was called. I believe the coach assumed at that point on what direction the game was going from there. I do feel he wanted to get the technical but did not intent on him and the ref making contact for an ejection. Both teams played well, seemed that it gave Walton a little fuel to build on after getting down by 10 or so early in the game.

As fans I think that we want consistency. The game hasn't got physical just overnight. Its gotten rougher and rougher as the years have passed. Seeing more injuries now than ever. Was originally blaming it on kids playing year around, but now am thinking its because of how physical the game has gotten. I know all refs call things differently but they should determine how the game is going to be called in the first 2-3 mins of game. They have to set the precedence of how that particular game is going to be called not by what coach is griping, or keeping fouls even on scoreboard, or protecting the star players. Some teams play more physical and intense than others not always but most of the time will foul more with that type play. Not saying we could do any better but we are not the ones licensed and getting a paycheck either.

Congrats to Holmes, they have a nice team. Certainly surprised with Shelby early in season. Hopefully they get things figured out

If most games are called like the ones I have seen early on in the season, there will be a lot of coaches giving refs grief. Agree no AD should give any lip during a game. After the game a phone call from the AD to the commission about an officials ability or inability may be what needs to happen

Not sure we should spend all our time focusing on a Coach getting tossed. Its more about 32 mins of exciting basketball by two competitive teams!

Need to give Walton credit. They was down 11 end of 1st qtr and battled back. Great game!

Highlands will be a tough matchup for any team. Gotta give Grant credit they bring effort to every game.

Crazy how the little thing makes the biggest outcome in games. Definately a game changer. I think sometimes we overlook how important the basic fundamentals are in the game. (i.e. playing low, boxing out, meeting the pass, etc)
