Jack, your going to tick some people off talking like that. Belfry and Lou Central has proven themselves by going to and winning state championship within the last few season and Lex Cath has beaten Boyle Co 7 out of last 8. So if that's your list in order, be ready to get heck from Belfry and other contending 3A fans. Just saying brother. I'm a big Lex Cath follower and I don't mind your list, but other won't appreciate that.

Lexington Cath returns WR Morris, JJ Ogbugo and the Thompson twins, RB Jones, 3 starting OL.. On defense all return but 1 D-line on rotation, return 2 of the 4 LB, CB Rowady. Boyle Co. returns Josiah Robbins and perhaps 1 of their RB- Brown and I'm not sure of the rest of the squad. It's a new " Conference " per say for BC and LC and with all the traditional powers Corbin, Belfy, Lou Central, BC and LC will have to prove that they can play in this class. Let's me just say this BC and LC have played numerous powerhouse 6A and 5A, out of state powers, so they are tested.

I know its just a personal ranking but ranking to me is just an eye test. Johnson Central was ranked #2 all season long in 4A above Cov Cath, Lex Cath, Boyle Co. among others but no where to be found after 2nd round. Same for the top dogs in 6A and in the end Trinity prevailed. I guess what BNG is saying and from what he knows on who is returning for Lexington Cath and Boyle Co.

Hate to say it Jack, but yes... They did see a lot on special teams or mop up jobs. Also I forgot to mention another senior, not sure of the name but played in the defensive line rotation.

I might be able to answer that Jack. On offense QB Ryan, C Bailey, LT Castlen, WR Hatton and Oneil.. On defense LB Boling and Mitchell, SS Couch and CB Griggs. Big shoe to fill with Ryan and Boling being gone, but as you can see several starters and experience return.

4A is Johnson Central to loose.

Just my opinion, but NAH I'm not sold. With the exception of the traditional 3A powers ( Bell Co. Lou Central, Corbin and Belfry being favor ) Boyle Co and Lex Catholic will be a tough out.

I can't remember the last time Boyle Co and/ or Lex Catholic not making it past the 2nd round. These program year in and year out wins state champs/ regional champs and making it to state semi's.. Including Lou Central.

Which 2 quality teams will never get out of round 2? Please tell and explain.

What's wrong with that? LC make some noise? Nicknames? So what, what the harm? And that's the J Train btw. Oh " The Couch "? that's the kids last name Braxton Couch.

If that was the case, then it's wrong. It should go the best players, that has a winning team, puts up great number against good competition... But who am I to say I'm right.

And that's what I meant when I posted #51. Great players performs vs. good to great team. If that's the case they you got my vote... But a great player like Harris his and puts up great numbers vs. cupcake teams, then I will vote for the ones that I mentioned before.

I think it should be based on how the Heisman is chosen. How that player(s) performs against good to great competition. If Harris plays and puts up great numbers vs cupcake teams where as Hoge, Reese Ryan, Sindelar does the same but vs higher completion, then of course I would go with that theory. I understand he was hurt towards the end of the season and was not able to showcase his ability against top competition.

IDK... Anyone team that Highlands played can compare to Bryan Station, Lafayette or Bowling Green? Those were the 2 L and played Boyle Co twice and got the W.

Perhaps he did and changed his mind. I saw the roster and the kid down the street mentioned it as well. Possible change of heart.

Saw the roster for Lafayette and did not observed his name. Ask my neighbors kid who plays football for Lafayette and he told us that Lucky will concentrate on football and opt not to play. His calling card is football so I don't blame the kid. Good luck Toppers.

Oh no seriously I took your comment wrong. Thought you meant Lex Cath is a C+ team and Highlands will play down to that level. I could be wrong man, but I really think Lex Cath is not 21 point underdog like you indicated. They have reeled in 9 straight impressive wins, with the exception of the wind, mud, rain, monsoon game vs Taylor Co. Their offense has been impressive. Passing and the running game of Jalen Jones has been great. And as far as their defense, all this ground and pound teams that I read about had very little success against Lex Catholic defense. They have a bend but don't break defense. Not saying Highlands will loose, they just wont win by 3 TD as you predicted.

Was it really lacking lst weekend with Cov Cath vs FT Highlands? Anybody know why last weekend and this coming weekend too?
