PurplePride92 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I expect Paul Price to be a key player for Henry Clay this season. Very underrated player.

Wow. Really? I had heard he didn't play last season and that he was going to play this year. He's a really nice player and with Tisdale out he'd have provided some stability in the backcourt as well as some consistent scoring. I hate that. Side note: how did the scrimmage against Lincoln County go? Any details on that?

Side note: how did the scrimmage against Lincoln County go? Any details on that? I know Paul was with them this summer but he didn't play much. He was not with the team at all on Saturday. As for the scrimmage it was a very tight close game. With 2-3 minutes left in game both teams agreed to play the jv and freshmen kids. At this point Henry Clay led Lincoln by 5 points when the younger kids entered the game. Henry Clay didn't look like they missed Tisdale as much as you would expect. Also, Colby Barnes was not playing for Henry Clay. I do not know why. The younger Tisdale played well and Henry Clay looked like the more athletic team for most of the game. For Lincoln County the usual suspects played well, Timmy Taylor and Jacob Conway. Timmy is just so good at drawing a defender and distributing the basketball to the open man. The game was tight the whole way with neither team leading by more then 5. Overall good game. Lincoln looked solid as expected. I came away more impressed with Henry Clay's ability to not miss a step without Tisdale. Both teams should be good this season and compete for regional titles.

It's good to see Henry Clay stepping up and still being better than average despite the loss of Tisdale.

I definitely expect Isaiah to step up in a big way this year with Jeremiah out.

Henry Clay beat Lincoln by 5 Louisville Central beat Dunbar by 9. Dunbar without 6 of their top 10. Bryan Station destroyed North Laurel.

Beach Bumm Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Jackson from Lafayette is not playing basketball. Will workout and concentrate on football, getting ready for WKU.

Beach Bumm Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I'd heard that was a possibility. Saw the roster for Lafayette and did not observed his name. Ask my neighbors kid who plays football for Lafayette and he told us that Lucky will concentrate on football and opt not to play. His calling card is football so I don't blame the kid. Good luck Toppers.

Beach Bumm Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 That's funny. That must be a new development because he played this weekend for Lafayette. Perhaps he did and changed his mind. I saw the roster and the kid down the street mentioned it as well. Possible change of heart.
