I would agree that the bottom bracket is very weak. 4 teams can emerged ie Lafayette, SK, Dixie and Ballard. Ballard is a nice ball club. I got the change to see them play/ scrimmage Lex Cath and was very impress the size of their skill players.

Fair enough, but the first game was not competitive. Blow out city by FTH. Hoping for a closer, exciting game.

I don't think Lafayette can get by Simon Kenton. There might be a Dixie vs SK part 2.

I actually would like to see that. For some reason Cov Cath has had a string of bad luck this season but now healthy. I have said it before FTH vs Cov Cath part 2, but I still think FTH has the upper hand. Part 2 will be a more competitive and closer game than the first.

I would agree that Lafayette strength of schedule might help them out, but the top notch 6A teams you speak of have had a shoot out games with Lafayette. Bryan Station and Henry Clay were lost, lost another one to Scott Co ( lighting bowl ) beat an awful 6A Madison Central, Boone Co, Tates Creek, Dunbar and barely beat a weak ( from what people say ) Lexington Catholic.

Saint X, Trinity, Bryan Station barring their QB plays deep in the playoffs and how about defending champ Scott Co? Too many tough programs to consider Male as the champs.

Field! Boyle Co and Lex Catholic from the east and Collins from the west. NOT! No seriously Owensboro from the west.

I would say the weakest team that Lex Catholic has ever had was Kyle Bolin's sophomore year. Team only went 5-5 regular season and still went on to played and lost Boyle Co in the 2nd round or 3rd, finishing the season 7-6. I believe those were the numbers. I could be wrong.

How so? This is the best year that they have had in the RB position since Ragland. 4 receivers with at least 20 or so receptions and numerous TD for each ones. Probably the biggest linemen as a group in many years. Now you can say they lost 3 games, but look at the team that they lost to. 3X state champs BG w/ 40 some game winning streak, Lafayette who has a few D1A commit and B. Station who are very athletic and capable of beating top notch programs. Just ask FTH. Not sure how far back you have look to say the weakest you have ever seen.

Sounds like the Colonels are getting healthy. I am predicting a FTH and CCHS rematch.

You have a great point there partner. That includes Lex Catholic and Lex Christian as well.

Even though athletic, Lafayette can't handle other teams that are athletic as well. Lost to an athletic Henry Clay and Bryan Station. And those receivers are not 6'3, perhaps only/ maybe one ( Jackson )

Any update on the injury list ( Belfry )? Could make a difference in the game.

Cause FTH has a trophy case full of state championship trophies and they want to have a piece of the pie.

I don't believe it one bit either. FTH, Boyle Co, Lex Cath and Cov Cath underdog? NO WAY. Heck Collins is the defending state champ and I wouldn't quite call them an underdog, even with a down record this season. Not just yet.

I love seeing the trophy case at FT Highlands.

I can see JC being favor to win against Ft Highlands and Cov Catholic just because of their record, but who has JC played or beaten that are quality win, better yet a quality program? They haven't played any quality teams in the last 2-3 season and it showed in the playoffs with an early exit. I'm sure JC is a talented team, but to say FTH and CCHS is an underdog.. Not buying it.
