I dont know much about Harrison but I think like any other game Greenup has played if they can establish a run game they win but if they are forced to throw to move the ball they may be in trouble.

Haven't seen a poll on this game so thought Id make a thread. Thoughts & Predictions?

Heres something ive been thinking about... I understand its too late to do so now but when Ashland needed to pass they went to Brown and Baker. So if you have no faith in Dowdy to throw why not have Brown as your qb move Dowdy to a slot position. You cant tell me Brown isnt a better runner than Dowdy and apparently has the better arm. Sure makes more since to me.

I prefer the spread but you have to know your personnel... At the high school level its hard to have an efficient pass game. If they were running the read option and still spreading the field but using a te as a lead blocker they could be effective. Im not questioning mullins ability to coach bc I do think highly of him but Greenup does need to stick to running the ball. Gotta at least be able to hit on digs, slants hitches and screens to be able to run the spread

Rowan always did leave thier 1s in against our jv. I cant remember thier RBs name but back in the early 2000's he was leading the state in rushing and they came to Greenup and through 3 qtrs we were up big and he only had like 50 yrds, we put our jv in and they ran him the whole 4th qtr ended up with like 150.

I don't believe the score is a matter of Ironton being down. Ashland is up. Way up! Ashland is a pretty good team without Baker but I dont think ppl understand just how good he is. My honest opinion is he is better than the kid from madison southern that is playing for Alabama this year. I honestly think he is that good.

Iono about all that. Ashland dominated a 0-4 but still pretty decent Ironton team. JC is the only team in the area close to Ashland. Valley is probably more on Russell's level.

Greenup out gained Lawrence but turned the ball over 4 times. Turnovers didnt lose Greenup this game though they had a chance in the red zone to put it away and didn't capitalize. Great job Lawrence! Took it 90 yrds with 3:30 left to win the game. Byrd and Warnock both go over 100 yrds rushing. Hunt runs the ball well but threw 3 picks. Passing is definitely not our strength!

Lawrence County will certainly score its just a matter of whether or not Greenup can put some points on the board. If Greenup can continue to play solid defense this will be a good game. The belly option is tough to defend especially when you dont see it very often. Hopefully Greenup can establish a good ground game that will open up the pass. Ill say... Greenup 26 Lawrence 21

A little late but hadn't seen a thread for this one. Lawrence seems pretty solid but I dont know much about them. Greenup coming off a hard fought rivalry game @ Raceland.
