Agreed. And that is exactly how I see Snapp right now... A high d2 player. This thread mentions lots of d1's, which like I said, IMO are not good options for Snapp right now because of his size. As mentioned, if any kid has the work ethic to gain strength in the weightroom its him.

Of course I wish him nothing but the best, but for him to get legit minutes at the next he is going to need to hit the weight room HARD. Kid is a great player and has the work ethic, and obviously has time but (arguably) the biggest difference between college and high school is the physicality.

No matter who wins or loses, I hope there is a sense of mutual respect from both teams and they enjoy a competitive, clean, and welcoming night of football. Hopefully posters will show their respect as well, win or lose.

Being a CCH alum, it is hard to say. Every single one of my four years was "the year." Every year. I've heard this phrase four times, but "No, seriously, we got them this year. Saw in the US vs Germany World Cup game when Clint Dempsey was hurt a German kicked the ball out of bounds during the game to allow him to rest. After Dempsey was removed from the field, USA kicks the ball back to Germany. I guess this is an unwritten courtesy thing? Anyways, really cool to see the respect both teams had for one another on the biggest stage in the world.

Didn't intentionally leave him out; I'm just more familiar with the 3 I mentioned. As for the Holmes CC talk, maybe they'll meet in the Sweet 16 and we can know for sure! But if that doesn't happen I take Holmes 8 out of 10.

Agree with this. I look for the big kid (think he's a junior, name escapes me), Jackson and McGoveny (sp?) to have great seasons. Now that the three of them have some experience I could see CC getting out of region again. I think mostly everybody has bought into Coach Russell's system.

You are correct. Those 2 for now, but if he continues to approve obviously he should rack up a few more.

This thread is for the 8th, 9th, and 10th. Not sure if that would change your assessment but I agree, Cooper is not far behind the top 3 in the 9th.

Agree, I think its like CovCath last year in the regard that yes, Schuh, CVH, etc. , all had huge roles in their success but without Ruthsatz its a completely different story. As I said Bolden will carry the team on his back but Tiger is right, other guys will need to step up as well.

I'm expecting the Indians to be much improved since last year. Having Leighton (sp?) Schrand and Bezold with 1 more year of experience will be huge. Unfortunately their district has 2 of the top 5 9th region teams so I don't see them making a run in March, but I would not be surprised to see a (just above) .500 record.

While I agree that NCC should be ranked higher than CCH, it is worth noting that almost every year that is the case, and last year CovCath beat them 1.5 times convincingly. Just saying maybe NCC is (and has been for the last 2-3 or more years) better on paper, but on the court, at least last year, CCH was better.

Congrats to Drew and his family! Great kid with a bright future ahead. Good luck on the court/green/classroom.

What a shame to hear he is leaving. Booher has done a great job at Holmes. Good luck to Jason and his family in whatever they do.... As for the job, I would assume Listerman is interested. Remember he was forced out of coaching at CovCath and could have remained as a teacher but traded the blue for red so that he could continue coaching. If he did get it it would be so strange to see two CovCath Listerman Legends coaching at (arguably) their 2 biggest rivals (Highlands and Holmes).

I understand that you mean it is indeed a much greater task; however, I would say that the "height" of an accomplishment depends on the individual. For a kid who was cut as a freshman in high school playing D3 ball is a huge accomplishment and testament to the work (or growth spurt sometimes) of him and his family. Julius Randle playing D3 would not be as big of an accomplishment.

Surprised to see not a single CCH player on there besides Ruthsatz. I know Nick is good but I don't think they won the Championship 1 on 5...

Congrats to all the players mentioned, this is a great accomplishment and you deserve to be recognized for your hard work. Now, with no disrespect, how in the world are Brandon Hatton and James Bolden on 1st Team and Nick Ruthsatz on 2nd team?

As a coach you go out and do whatever you have to do to win. If the other team is down their best player and attacking that position would help you win, then do it. Whatever it takes to get the W.

Saw this a few years ago on here and thought it was a fun one. If you were to give out the following awards in the state of Kentucky, who would get them? Keep in mind this goes for the whole state, not MVP "of his team," Most Improved "of his team," etc. Instead it is MVP of KY, Most Improved in KY, etc. MVP - Most Improved - Defensive Player - Best Underclassmen (non-seniors) - Feel free to add more.
