CCH is not playing their best, but keep in mind they have a week (as does CC) to put that behind them. I think the week off could hurt CC as it may slow down their momentum, and it could help CCH put the ugly 9th region games behind. I realize I am incredibly biased. This is not a knock at CC either, but I know CovCath will be prepared for this game a helluva lot better than they were for Clay County in round 1 last year. I also think it will not be a 19 point margin like last time. Wilson and Dre are players. CCH will need Romes and Schuh to command the boards. But like I said, I have no doubt Scott and his crew will have them ready. Colonels by 11.

Wow, as has been mentioned, how about the 35th District the last 3 years? Really impressive that the same two teams can meet each other in the region finals all 3 years. The rivalry has to be one of the most exciting in the state.

Agreed with most, CCH looks to be a favorite to get to the finals, but if they can/will win it who knows. Just look at the last two years: 2013 - CCH wins 35th, has "easier" path defeating Ryle and Newport. Holmes loses 35th, has more difficult path beating NCC as Cooper. Holmes comes out on top and goes to Rupp. 2014- Holmes wins the 35th district, has an "easier" path to the finals defeating St Henry and Dixie(?). Cch loses the 35th, has a more difficult path defeating Ryle and NCC. Cch comes out on top and goes to Rupp. So according to my 100% accurate and cannot-be-false prediction based on recent trends, someone on the bottom bracket will represent the 9th at Rupp. But I hope my school can prove recent trends wrong, Go Colonels!

To be honest they could be, I just haven't followed the 9th this year as close as I have in years past.

Lol, not necessarily disagreeing with you but let's finish this year first! There's still a lot of basketball left for one of the 9th region teams....And it seems this year it could be 1 of 4. Looking forward to an exciting postseason.

Just read that Bo made a basket tonight in the 3rd quarter to join CCH's 1000 point club. What a great way to end a career at home (on senior night)! Congrats to Bo and family!

Sure is. Especially (if memory serves me right) since he's been varsity only for just 3 years (I want to think he played JV at the beginning of his freshman year).

Congrats to Liam. Kid has worked incredibly hard over the last few years and getting to play at the next level is something not many can say they've done! I saw that he committed on Facebook a few days ago, but figured someone else might post it! :thumb:

I had quickly glanced over the title and thought it was only state championships. Since everyone else is bragging, I'll take a turn: 8th Grade Football Championship Freshman Basketball Regional Championship (Sophomore year) JV Basketball Regional Championship ............. And the one I mentioned before! Bragging time for me is over! :walk:

I won a KHSAA Sweet 16 Basketball State Championship, but if I give away the year it will probably give away my identity! (If you want to know the year I can PM you) It is really amazing... Just thinking that you have something that so few can say they've done. All the hard work, grueling practices and film sessions and weight lifting... Makes it all worth it as soon as the buzzer sounds. It's one of the few times that I could not control my emotions and cried out of happiness.

How is it an excuse? Its fully admitting that the team was simply not ready to play. I don't see any implications of "We should've/would've won." And to the bolded, who else makes "excuses" when a team loses?

As others said I was picturing this guy before I looked at pictures! The only thing I'll say is that it's awesome, because that'll probably be me in 40 years! :laugh:

Agreed! I think that's what makes high school basketball so exciting! Its fun to see how Dixie will (hopefully) keep their composure and not become complacent, to see how CCH responds and (hopefully) bounces back, to see how much confidence NCC and Holmes gain from seeing that the Blue Colonels are beatable. Can't wait for March!

The cost varies depending on which package you choose. I don't remember the specific numbers, but I can at least give you my experience: NCSA is basically as helpful as you want them to be. They really focus on teaching you how to talk to coaches, which focuses on reaching out first. That is really one of the keys to college recruiting. Athletes need to establish connection with coaches at as many schools as possible. It is A)good practice and B)gives them leverage when talking to other coaches. Another great thing NCSA does is the video. Depending on the package you get, you send them film and they can create "X" amount of highlight videos or even post entire game footage. What they then do is send this video (with your profile) to schools that "match" your preferences. It is a good establishing point to connect athletes with coaches, but what it really boils down to is how and how often the athlete talks to the coach. NCSA educates you on the most effective way to do this thru web seminars and 1-on-1 coaching sessions. In summary, it is worth it if you take advantage of the resources. If you sign up then "do your own thing," you'll probably think its a waste. But if you consistently talk to the people there and use their resource library for any questions you have, it is probably worth it. FWIW, I used it for Men's Basketball so I'm not entirely familiar with the football recruiting. Hope this helps.
