THIS ^^^^^^^ This has been the Camels downfall all year. Against lesser teams, they can overcome and get away with it. But not against good teams. They were even with CovCath after 3 and fell apart in the 4th; they were even with Mason County midway through 3rd; lost to Madison Central by 3 after TO in final seconds. It's tough to win close games or games against quality teams with 15+ less opportunities to score. -

Neltner played his rear off and gave the Camels more than they expected, but having Wilson's presence under the basket would make some difference. Not saying they would have won with him, but the ability to change or block shots or at least be a thought to an opposing player driving to the basket would definitely have an impact on the game. -

McGovney has been playing really well and has been looking to score more. Cole Hegyi has had some good games as well. Other guys off the bench are playing well but Camels still missing that "consistent" 3rd scoring threat. Camels going through a rough patch as they always seem to do, but I think they will be fine. Need a little confidence back.... -
Campbell County freshman are 12-1 with only loss to CovCath.

I didn't think Campbell played all that bad either. MoCo played a zone the entire game. Blake Losey had a great game shooting. Wilson was limited against the zone and Jackson just had one of those games where nothing falls; you could tell he was extremely down on himself. MoCo shot 60% inside the arc and nearly 50% from behind so they didn't miss much. Camels do need to do a better job of getting a hand in the shooter's face. Camels just ran into a hot shooting team. Very impressed with MoCo's point guard; quick, can handle the ball, shoots well, and QBs the team; all the key ingredients you need from a PG. Camels struggling a bit right now but they will be OK. Need to get some confidence back. -

Just give it a few more years .... "Shot no good ... rebound by McGovney ... he passes to McGovney .... McGovney to McGovney for the three ..." -
Will find out next Friday night at the BOK Center....

Dorian Henry is a heck of a player and made it tough for anybody to score inside. Camels only shot about 35% for the game and missed a lot of close shots. In my opinion the game changed after the "intentional foul" on CC. That was an 8 point swing as the Camels missed a layup, Mason made the basket, got the 2 FTs and then scored after getting the ball back on the intentional foul. CC went from being up 36-34 to down 40-36. After a few bad possessions the Camels were down 9 and had to foul and start gambling. Trent McGovney had another great game scoring 15 points on 6-7 shooting. They will need him to continue to be a scoring threat. Mason shot twice as many free throws (22-27 vs 11-14) as CC. Not sure the Camels got the "home cookin" some claim they get. -
Mason County/Campbell County updates

I saw smoke on the other side of the gym and thought there was a fire then realized Randy Parker was in the house and texting..... Great job with the updates. -
DJ Jenkins would make any team better, but from what I've seen from Harrison County this year, not so sure they have moved to the top of the 10th Region.

I believe the Camels also beat Dixie at Dixie last year. But I'm sure you have a good reason why that happened. -

He had a heck of a game. Kid is a horse inside, sees the floor well and has a nice touch from outside. -

Another tough game on the road for the Camels. St Henry led 16-11 after 1, 22-19 at half, and 43-38 after 3. Camels struggled a bit shooting tonight (under 40% unofficially) and finally got some buckets to fall and some defensive stops in the 4th. Very impressed with St. Henry. Played very hard. Kunstek was lights out from 15-20 ft. Camels outshot the Cru from FT line (16-22 vs 6-9). Unofficially, Matt Wilson with 17 pts 11 boards and 5 blocks. Deondre Jackson with 14, most coming in 2nd half. Cole Hegyi and Blake Losey each with 9. McGovney adds 7. Kunstek was leading scorer for St. Henry but didn't get final total. Camels tangle with Brossart Mustangs this Saturday. -

Tough game for Campbell County against a scrappy Amelia team at Amelia. Unofficially, Blake Losey steps up with 19 points on 8-11 shooting. Deondre Jackson scores 18. Matt Wilson taken out of the game early by the officials was limited to only 5 points but had 8 rebounds. Camels up by as many as 7 in the first period but trail 29-26 at the half. Amelia goes up by 5 in the third. Back and forth game in the 4th. Camels getting defensive stops and making some free throws at the end for the win. -

It was a 1 point game after 3 quarters; not indicative of the final score. The Camels got into a bit of foul trouble, but they were forcing shots and settling for shots too early in the possession in the 2nd half. I think a huge difference was not having Trent McGovney on the floor. The Camels were a different team without him. Once the snowball started rolling downhill, the Camels couldn't stop it. -

Camels put five players in double figures: Jackson with 18 (7-11 from field and 3-3 from FT line) Wilson with 17, 9 boards, 5 blocks (6-10 from field with 2 treys and 3-4 from FT line) Losey with 15 (6-10 from field and 2-2 from line) 2nd straight game in double figures Day with 14 (5-6 shooting with 4-5 from behind the arc) Hegyi with 10 and 9 rebounds (5-6 shooting) Well balanced effort.
