I can see why so many people dislike HHS(some fans). Don't blame the coaches because they didn't play iron man football the whole second half (Because that would be smart against a team that runs a platoon system) highlands has always ran a platoon system and has been pretty good with it. Don't pick out plays that changed the game. Yes this highlands team had talented players on it but just accept that PC was more talented and it had nothing to do with play calling, refs, or your kid. Be glad they went to the state simi-finals after starting 1-5. And just remember Trinity didn't make it this year either. 23 all.

Lets give credit were it is do. Don't blame the coaches. Give Hall, Johnson and 16 the credit they deserve. HHS were still getting into the back field in the second half they were still hitting the back at the line, but Hall would scramble and make guys miss the same for 16. Many times HHS would have them for a loss and some how Hall would turn it into a 15 yard gain. Just off straight athletic ability. Offense they put up 31 points with that score the offense did what they needed to do. PC just had more talent. Don't bash the coaches because what they did with this team was amazing going from 1-5 to the state simi-finals. And the Dale comment is silly, BW won a state title in 12 when Dale was gone, Dale lost to the same team in 13 and BW came back from some crazy deficit in 14 for the state title.

Just too clarify I wasn't insinuating his father is a bad father. Just maybe too overdearing on his athletic performance.

Not saying anything bad toward his parents but he surely fells a lot of pressure from his dad. Kids after a game or practice have been heard saying "don't want to be Hergott tonight" That isn't saying the season is caused by one player but I believe he is a better player than is showing.

Wonder how much better Hergott would do without his dad at the games?

SW is the sleeping giant.

Pretty sure he ran the offense last year.

What do you mean "ugly"

Hate the fact that CCH may beat HHS this year and its their first year with a new HC. It will look bad on Dave and it shouldn't. He was a good coach but was going up against those dominant teams. Put his teams in any other districts over the state and they would have made some good runs.

I very seriously doubt he is calling Dale.

Coach W was there beside Dale every year except Dale's first. So much of Dale's success was because of Weinrich. May coach W needs a coach W on his staff but just doesn't have one yet. Just a thought.

Now let's be fair. How good would PC be without Hall? I believe SWHS beat them without him.

They fell apart in the forth quarter. I believe they got too confident (players and coaches) and didn't adjust to the adjustments Bourbon made. It looked like Brady came out in 4th. You can't do that only up 2 scores. I heard from someone that they all (team and staff) were talking all weak that they would beat bourbon by 50. My thought to is don't do an onside kick everytime you score. Why give the other team the ball on the 50 all the time. It's not practice, it's a game. I am not the coach though just a fan.

Are Just trying to trick people with a little joke. I am sure there will be someone that thinks this add is talking about the Chuck Smith from KY.

Sounds to me then it is a no brainer who will be the next coach at Southwestern then. IF he applied. But I don't see why he wouldn't.

Could Be. But it is hard to see how a year before you beat pretty much the same team (most of Collins was juniors) by 47 and 12 months later loose to them. just think of the point swing in those two games.

I also heard Boyle wouldn't hire his son as assistant. That would give him a good reason to look elsewhere and it's not real far of a drive.

I have heard French has applied, has any other names been out there or is French a Rumor too.

Yea it would be heated. Funny though, last year Brian was the head coach at the game b/c Dale had to miss it, Brian beat them 47-0. I am not saying anything negative against Dale just stating what happened.

I think in this situation if I was hiring, BW already has the respect of the players and from the look of many post the suport of the community. He has already proven he can win (titles and games) he wasn't just a regular assistant head coach I have been told over the last few years He and Dale split the team but Dale did divide the players up. He also grew up and is a teacher there. After looking at these things to me it would be more of a risk to hire Smith. I am not taking anything away from Smith he is awsome, I just feel this would be a situation a talented person might get set up to fail.

I believe the "king" came back the following year and beat Boyle County. I don't believe BW if hired would be keeping the "status quo" in regards to coaching styles. I would say his game plans could be very different or as simple as how he divides the talent on the team. I don't believe that just hiring from with in would keep the same coaching styles (at any school) but I think in this situation the best applicant would be Wienrich. Not from knowing the system but knowing the community and the personal ties.

He is a teacher at the middle school. It is still considered an new position thats why it has to be open for 30 days. Site base would not have any say in hiring decision other than recomendationsif that would even happen. The hiring decision would lay with the AD but the superintenent dose have the power to over rule him.

I thought he was a LB with Murray.

I am pretty sure Bardo had both shoulders hurt.
