I like the black unis. They just need new pants as those are the only part of our uniforms that aren't Nike material. I'd imagine that will be happening.

Going to be a fun tournament. I predict Station vs Lafayette and Henry Clay vs Catholic followed by Catholic vs Station with LexCath winning the regional.

The 8th grade team had a kid who was big and had a good arm last year. From what I've heard he had a lot of potential but is not close to being ready for Friday nights.

Are we getting a transfer then? Those were the only other 3 QBs on the roster last season.

Do we know the matchups for the Regional tournament yet? For this game I really don't care if Catholic loses tbh. I just hope they come out of it injury free, unlike last season when Jarod Griffin broke his wrist in this game.

Like Beach Bumm said it will probably be one of the receivers from last season, senior to be Andy Thompson, moving over to QB. If he does make the switch Catholic's offense will look different next year as he is a very good athlete but doesn't have the arm of a Reese Ryan. Andy was the backup last year and when Reese got a concussion versus Bryan Station last season Andy ran for like 160 yards in about 2 and 1/2 quarters. The other 2 contenders would be junior to be Kirk Fagot or sophomore to be Greg Couch. Both of them can run and throw but I don't know if either are ready to be the starter this season. Spring practice will be interesting to watch for those 2 as I know Thompson plays baseball so a lot of reps will be available. Whomever is selected to be the QB will have the benefit of a lot of returning players on Catholic's Offense. Jaylen Jones is a D1 recruit at RB (unlike some on here I don't toss around that term much) JJ Ogbogu and Donovan Morris are back at WR, and the O-Line is returning 3 starters and others who were in the rotation. Just need a solid triggerman.

I was worried about this one but the Knights pulled through. Season continues.

Best district in the state will make for an exciting tournament. Would like to point out that Dunbar has made the Regional Tournament quite recently, 2 years ago they won the district tournament. That was the team with Mike Smith and EJ Floreal. They had lost to LexCath twice in the regular season (getting blown out once) but were very talented and finished the year strong. They did end up losing to Henry Clay in the 1st round of Regions but that Henry Clay team was a state title contender.

Hope Jaylen Jones from LexCath runs well. A good 40 time combined with his size and film will net him many offers.

This is a very good event to attend for exposure. Kyle Bolin and Drake Jackson, both recent 4 star recruits from the state made their names known here.

If I'm right this means that Catholic is guaranteed a 1st round bye regardless of the outcome of their game with LCA. HUGE for them

Lexington Catholic still has games versus Lincoln and Wayne County to go this season, if the Knights survive the region its probably going to be a rematch game in the first round for them.

Big win for the Knights. Game versus LCA will be for the number 1 seed in the district.
