From a fan's perspective one would say yes, but why would Trinity give up the home floor advantage in such an important game? Even though Trinity is the better team, anything can happen this time of year.

And remember the first round of the region is being played on the district winners home floor. You could have StX playing at Trinity.......that place is not big enough for that game.....lol

Colts junior Chase Shellman nailed four three's early and scored 14 of the teams first 16. Good to see DeSales get the win that breaks a seven years stretch of losing the first round district game.

I agree with Randy Parker. I have seen all of the Mr Basketball finalists at least once and he is the best player in the state. No disrespect to Rice but he could get a better offer.

Anyone who might overlook LexCath will quickly find their season at an end. No, they will not be the favorite out of the region but they are sneaky good and just ballers. They had a stretch in January when they didnt play for 15 days, then have played 5 games in the last nine days and their backcourt has been injured. They do have a tough challenge in the district opener having to play Dunbar on Dunbar's home floor. This is what makes this time of the year so fun,,,,,u get something like Lafayette upsetting Scott County then I like the Knights chances alot.

But honestly in Trinity's defense, trying to beat a tough Ballard team this year is their sole purpose. Let's not make it like last night was some sort of meltdown for Trinity. It was a highly contested game that could have went either way. NCC is a very good team.

NCC snapped Trinity's 25 game home floor winning streak. Trinity's poor free throw shooting rears its ugly head. Two excellent teams.

It looks like on Trinity's website that even though they have a home game on Friday that they have made tonight Senior night. Kinda risky move if you wanna be assured of a win.

The last two weeks Szabo has been locking down his lineup and rotations. They had to make an adjustment with Thieneman being out for the year. The starters are Ivory, Stafford, Ramser, Owens, and Spalding. Knight-Goff, Levitch, Murphy and Schmitt come off the bench.

Could even be a preview of the state championship the way the brackets go.

Jackson Davis put on a show with 27 points before he fouled out late. I dont think the Generals look for him enough even though he had half of their points. Raymond Spalding played really well tonight scoring 22 points with two beautiful lobs from Daniel Ramser who added 13 points.
