I think it goes without saying that many talented kids will be left off by simply asking for the states top 10 based on performance..... :laugh: Comes down to simple math. Since you seem so knowledgable of Hollowell and his team, I am sure you also know that they are probably by far the youngest team in the State.... UHA starts 2 Sophomores and their bench is made up of all 8th graders. But since you OBVIOUSLY know EVERYTHING, I am sure you knew that.... Regarding your comments about Eli... You don't have to tell me how talented he is. I have been singing his praises for the past 3 years. Prior to most of you all even knowing who he is. If the list had gone to 11, he would have been on it. Eli and Ben are solely responsible for his 15+ offers and they are well deserved because his upside is ridiculously high. Now instead of simply picking apart my list, do something productive and make your own... (Which I am sure will include several of your HD kids on it):sssh::banana::wave:

The 8th Grader did not play vs Apollo. He is a scorer though... Needs to work on Defense and getting teammates more involved.

Let me take a moment to clarify my initial post.... 1. I posted a question (not a statement) about whether SW had taken over as the premier program in South Central Kentucky in order to spark conversation on the topic. GOAL ACCOMPLISHED! However, I never said that SW is currently better than BGHS, but if you would like to know my answer to that, simply ask. 2. I continued by stating that these were 2 programs headed in opposite direction.... This is very much TRUE. Simple math will help you understand why. One program won 3 straight titles and had 3 undefeated seasons; then lost 2 games in one season and got booted from the playoffs in the 3rd round. I believe and know that MOST BG fans would describe this as taking a step back.... The second program, obviously SW, struggled its first 1-2 years having a varsity team but have somehow managed a combined record of 24-2 over the last 2 seasons. (13-0 this season and playing in the State Semi Final) 1+1 usually adds up to 2 in my book.... One program is losing for the fist time in a while and one is winning for the first time, hence the statement "These seem to be 2 programs headed in opposite directions." 3. There was a comment made about Souths Skill players coming from other schools after re districting... This couldn't be further from the truth (at least for this team that is currently winning right now). I am not saying that there are not one or two, but most of the skill players are from other cities/states, and have moved into the SW school district when they moved to Bowling Green.... WR Haynes moved in from Franklin, KY as an 8th grader 2 years ago, WR Cummings moved in from GA as an 8th grader 3 years ago, QB Litten moved to the district as a 7th grader from Butler County, WR/LB/RB Lacey moved in from Louisville, KY.... SW has become "the county school" as someone stated earlier, and many people when moving in from out of town decide to settle in Souths District... 4. Semper Fi I am one Fan, and if my comments alone have caused you to harvest some type of resentment towards Souths program, I sincerely apologize. However, I seriously doubt that is the case.... I believe that your anger began the day Monroe County became Souths "Little Brother", and you realized you all have no chance of beating them at the varsity level ever again. The Truth hurts....

Doubt it, but I don't do hypotheticals.... In reality, South Warren plays Louisville Central in the Semi Final this week... That's the only thing that matters right now. Go Spartans!

BG who??? They are not unbeatable as was proven by Graves County. I hope everyone making noise come out to watch THIS South Warren team play in Louisville. They are A LOT Better then you realize.

Collision vs. Contact is irrelevant... It is about the talent pool schools have to choose from. Or at least that is the argument being made... IMO a 3 class system in every sport would be sufficient enough especially in Kentucky.

Monroe has 1 kid, Mink, that is talented... Other than him they have 0 Jims or Joes... Not to mention all their players are 1-2 year hold backs!!

For someone soooo concerned with "facts", where are your facts is they pertain to BGHS and Monroe County???? One "fact" I am sure of is the the Falcons won't EVER see a State Final 4 in the future...

What I find funny is the discussion of school size and the amount of males at a school only comes up in reference to Football games but not basketball.... Are the same "advantages" regarding school size not relevant during basketball season?

In light of recent events with Bowling Green High losing to Graves, and South Warren winning in dominant fashion, has SW taken over as the dominant team in South Central Kentucky? South starts primarily all Sophomores and Juniors which bold swell for the future; while BGHS is led by a plethora of Seniors... These seem to be 2 programs headed in opposite directions. Thoughts?
