Jim Schue Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 ???? That's how good Mueller is — doesn't even have to be on the sidelines and he's still winning games.
Watusi Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 He hit 250 in 2013, maybe they are just recognizing him for it now?
Jim Schue Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 He hit 250 in 2013, maybe they are just recognizing him for it now? That seems likely — did they not do so last year at state?
doubledeuce Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 That seems likely — did they not do so last year at state? Maybe he achieved the milestone during the playoffs and/or after everything was compiled?
Jim Schue Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Maybe he achieved the milestone during the playoffs and/or after everything was compiled? That makes sense — the KFCA sends this list out after the second round each year and HHS got to the finals last year, which means at least two more wins.
tdyballgame Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Can't stand mis-spelled names or school names. Take a little time and get proper info. If school sent it in , then shame on them for not knowing. No d in Beau Hoge's name.
LionEagle Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Okay, I don't even follow 2A football but even I know that Shelby Valley or Leslie County's coaches should have got district 8 coach of they year over DeRossett. Also, Rowan County won 2 games and did not qualify for the postseason, by far their worst season in quite sometime, how does Ray Graham win 4A district 8 coach of the year?
True blue (and gold) Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 These awards are voted on by the coaches, since this is a coaches organization, correct?
LionEagle Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Looks like buddy system voting rather than voting the most deserving in some cases.
Watusi Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Only KFCA member schools are eligible, right?
ggclfan Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Not trying to start anything but Wirth over Weinrich???
broadcaster240 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Not sure if the football coaches follow suit, but for a long time (and maybe still) the basketball coaches were only eligible for coach-of-the-year honors if they were a member of the association.
