She has several high D1 offers already, one beening THE Ohio State and I believe Oregon has offered as well. If she let's it play out a little she will have offers from almost every big time BCS school.

I think one parent lives in WV one lives in Ky, so not sure how it will play out.

Rumor has it she will be a Bandit next year!!

I agree you can't vote on players bc their college offers but I do find it hard that probably the only girl in the region that got an offer from a D1 school couldn't make an all region team. Your right I only saw Ginn once as an 8th grader (and she had a great game) and not sure if I ever saw Gregg. But I know they both went to camps and tried to earn scholarships and for what ever reason Gregg got one (maybe two) and Ginn didn't.

Depends on what kind of team you have. If you have a great pitcher I would be more likely to take the .250 hitter that plays great D bc you can win games with out scoring a lot of runs. If your pitching isn't great I take the .430 bc you need to score more runs. I know you love defensive stats but IMO the worst stat in all of sports in defensive fielding percentage, it doesn't tell the half of it. Here's a thing to remember also, most errors don't affect the game. Just sucks some REALLY do!

Was there any other D1 players on the All region team that year? Kinda funny how one has played D1 softball at two schools and the other didn't play at all. Yet the other girl is considered so much better.

Fair point but don't all the coaches in the 8th see her play? As an outfielder its probably a little harder bc not a lot of balls are going out that way. Honest question do coaches that vote for kids in the region just look at stats?

Our Org rented the Dome in Rosemont for Bandifest, I think the cost was 12 grand for the 4 days. My guess as much as we use it we got a nice discount to get it at that price.

Kinda wondering why BGH doesn't get any of the Uncle Pete's games on ESPN. I have been told it only cost 200K to get a game on. I am sure BBHS has that sitting around.

We had this conversation awhile back and we did get bashed for saying it hurt softball and baseball more. Those dates are the same times as Boulder, Independence and Sparkler in CO July 4th week. Almost every coach at every level goes to CO to try and find players. If you have a good HS coach just say Bloomer, Coach P, RCC9 etc and they are coaching your team in the summer you are more than likely not going. Yes you could have someone else coach your team but that's not likely. Those aren't the only tourney's that it affects just probably the biggest and most well known.

Congrats to the Knotts family. That's a real good get for TM, they have some good talent it will be fun to see how they do the next couple of years.
