Well maybe last year? I joke about this all the time. I think most the HHS and NDA parents know that, the ones that don't so be it. I think the girl you are talking about is a freshman so I guess she is able to transfer without having to sit out. I hate the transfer rules, I don't want to see school recruiting either but in the end the transfer rule only hurts the kid. Most the time they have little to no say in what school they attend so we punish kids for their parents decisions.

I am going to let this one go.

I hope your right, they have a chance bc of the pitching but still could be a struggle. Their coach is a fine man and its really not my place to bash anymore but you either have no clue what your talking about or just trying to get me fired up...

Believe me you guys are the lucky ones. Not all high schools have what you guys have as far as coaching goes.

I believe there was a time you would not have said that!! I know some people don't like Bloomer and I haven't been around him much but I would have loved for him to coach my kid in HS.

HC ALWAYS gets transfers just not for softball, and not a pitcher like the schools I like to talk about. I think I know the player in question and she will help but my guess is they still lose every game to the top 10 and most of them by the run rule fashion.

Glad you can put down your basketball for a couple of minutes to chim in on the real sport of softball!!! You act like bc your two daughters are averaging around 45 pts per game that you should care about basketball!!

If she gets up to 65 mph let me know I have a spot on my team for her!! There was an 8th grader from Ky (somewhere near WV) that was hitting 66 mph in Chicago this weekend. She has an offer from Ohio State aleady. She will recieve MANY MANY more over the next year if she plays it out.

Love hearing this, not that I am tired of hearing about the Smith's, Simm's, Knott's et all but seems like they have been around forever. I haven't heard of many young pitchers coming up besides Jackson from Boone.

Will this be far enough away from home that the umps or Coach Coffey won't hear me yelling at them!

I probably shouldn't do this preview bc I am not aware of excatly what they have coming back but what the heck! They lose a class of seniors that started approx 750 games in their 6 year career. Last years team was avg at best. Could be a long year for the Indians. Its kind of been that year throughout the sports dept in Latonia. They return Sr pitcher Anna Clement (sp?) who had a fine year. She is probably in the best of the rest group. She's not one of the top pitchers but she holds her own. She made a huge jump from Soph year to Jr year, a lot may have had to do with having one of the best catchers in the area back behind the plate in Grace Herrman. Sr Kristen Stanley should return to play first base and has a lot of experience. Freshman Courtney Turner would probably be the favorite to play SS and this will be her 3rd year playing varsity softball. Turner would need to have a monster year for HC to compete. Nice schedule. HHS should have another solid year. If they come together they should make the 9th region tourney again this year. They are for sure the 2nd best team in the district!! All kidding aside HHS could possible make the leap and really contend for the 9th region championship. They return everyone but so does almost all the teams in front of them last year so I think everyone is thinking the same thing.
