10th Region Bracket
I think you missed the point. If you live in the region, you are within an hour of at least one of NKU or Montgomery Co. You found it too daunting of a task to make it to travel to the region the 1-2 times out of 20 years that it was an hour away from you, yet you think it is perfectly reasonable to expect folks to travel that one hour every year to Mason Co. Those folks have the same issue with getting off work and traveling to the game that you mentioned.

10th Region Bracket
No place in the region is anywhere close to 2 hours away from both Northern Ky and Montgomery Co. If you thought it was too far for you to go from Mason Co, or somewhere in that vicinity to both NKU and Montgonery Co then why would you expect people from Montgomery Co or Northern Ky to have to travel to Mason Co every year?

I need the AP poll for 2-22-16, Anyone have a link?
According the Josh Moore the final AP poll came out 2/15. No idea why.

10th Region Bracket
Campbell Co, Pendleton and Mason Co each got a poor draw. Montgomery Co got a great draw. I think Paris, Scott and Augusta should be reasonably pleased with their draws.

What is the schedule for the semis and finals? The semis are set up for two very good games!

Who should make the All BGP Team for the 2015-16 season
Coming into the season I was very high on Williams, but having watched Dunbar several times I'm convicned Hollingsworth is their best player, and I think he is worthy of a spot on the All-State Team

Paris 61 Montgomery County 53 (40th District Championship)
Garrard was fantastic tonight. Played like the region player of the year. Paris jumped out to a 21-6 lead, and despite the Indians making a run in the 3rd the Greyhounds held on to the lead. Clark did a great job on Fuller to prevent him from really controlling the game. He had some nice passes, but Clark did a great job of keeping him out of the lane. Combs picked up 2 fouls in the first couple minutes, and wasn't ever much of a factor. The Indians made an effort to get the ball inside, but it never translated into an inside out attack. If Paris plays like they did in the first half I'm not sure there is a team in the region that can beat them. They really struggled in the 3rd which let Monthomery back into the game, but the Hounds did a great job closing strong in the 4th.

Paris/Moco 40th District Championship Prediction
I would expect they will try to go man, but they'll be willing to switch if the game necessitates it due to an inability to get stops or to protect their guards from foul trouble.

Paris/Moco 40th District Championship Prediction
In both of the previous games Paris was clearly in control of the game in the second half before the Indians mounted comebacks by dominating the 4th quarter, only to be thwarted by at the horn. Indians key is to keep the Hounds, especially Garrard off the offensive glass. Greyhounds key is to prevent the Indians from getting into a rhythm from deep.

Who should make the All BGP Team for the 2015-16 season
I think that shows he doesn't have inflated stats from playing weaker competition. He is averaging 23.76 against the 13 opponents I have ranked in my top 25 and averaging 16.36 against the other 19.

Nicest Gyms in the state?
Harlan Co is the nicest I've been in and Marshall Co is the best. I've been to a lot of the ones mentioned here, but never Pulaski, so I'll have to check that one out sometime.

Who should make the All BGP Team for the 2015-16 season
I watched Tisdale last night, and I'm confident he should be on the list. He is averaging over 19 ppg shooting 50% FG, 40% 3pt. Also around 6.8 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.7 spg for one of the top 5 teams in the state. He is getting his points against the top teams in the state. Scott Co: 24, 40, 33 (District) Trinity: 22 and 25 Dunbar: 18 and 30 Owen Co: 37 North Hardin: 25

Henry Clay 85 Scott County 77 (42nd District Championship)
Fun fun game. Henry Clay was just better tonight and Scott Co had no answer for Ridgeway and Tisdale. Cooper Robb was hastled and harassed all night, but he plays hard and worked to keep the Cardinals in this one. It's a long shot for Scott Co to win the region this year, but they'll be state title contenders for the next 3 years.

Biggest District Upset in Past 20 years
I believe the other starter was Andre Buckner. That UHA team was the only Kentucky team to ever win the prestigious Beach Ball Classic.

Biggest District Upset in Past 20 years
1996 Christian Co beat UHA. That Christian Co team was good, but the UHA team was probably the favorite to win the state title.

Covington Catholic 65 Madison Central 63
Very fun game to watch. CovCath jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead but Madison Central hit some big shots and had the lead until midway through the second quarter. At this point CovCath went to a very agressive zone defense, alternating between a 2-3 and either a 3-2 or 1-2-2. Madison Central couldn't get any looks and CovCath used several deflections to get some easy points in transition, flipping a 5 point deficit into a 9 point lead pretty quickly. The second half the visitors led most of the way, but Madison Central kept clawing back, eventually tying the score early in the fourth. CovCath regained the lead, but failed to ice the game at the free throw line which allowed Madison Central several opportunities to tie the game in the last minute, but the Indians were unable to convert on these opportunities. Miller from Madison Central was the star of the game in my opinion. He ferociously attacked the offensive glass in the second half and willed the Indians back into the game. Madison Central looks a whole lot better than they did early in the year, and while they aren't as talented as the top teams in the 11th I think they can challenge anybody in the 11th region tournament. I was really impressed with Ruthsatz for CovCath. He got a ton of deflections and steals and had a great feel for closing down passing lanes. I was a little disappointed watching VonHandorf. After seeing him play so well at state the last 2 years I was expecting he would be a top 10 player in the state. He wasn't bad by any means, but didn't really do anything to stand out as an elite player. CovCath is a solid team, not the best team in the state, but probably in the top 10.

Dunbar 81 Scott County 51
When Dunbar plays well I believe they are easily the best team in the state. I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't seem like they bring it all night every night?

2016 KABC Region Players of the Year
Blake Smith from Clay Co is the only name missing that I was expecting see. I don't follow the 13th that closely, though, so maybe it doesn't surprise those closer to the region.
-
Pendleton County 56 Paris 54
I think it's great that he was willing to give the seniors a lot of playing time, despite the fact that they were playing a team that can challenge them. To me that shows a coach who gets that high school sports are first and foremost about the kids!

Cantrall Ratings (2/14/2016)
While I do agree they are right around the top 20, I was more referring to the fact that they aren't included at all. They aren't in the 14th region rankings anywhere.

It's interesting that they don't include Cordia.

Clay Co: 2000 Wins
According to the Kentucky High School Basketball Encyclopedia Clay Co had 1936 wins at the end of the 2013 season. Adding their 23, 24 and 20 wins over the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons that would put them at 2003 wins in their history. I believe this would make them the first school in the history of the KHSAA with 2000 victories. If any of this information isn't correct I apologize, but thought it would be worth pointing this out.

10th Region Rankings & Weekly Review (2-14-16)
As long as this has Paris at #1 I think it's perfectly acceptable. Good work.

Taylor County 55 Dunbar 54
I think that is what they need from him to be successful as a team. Earlier in the year it was a lot of Goodin putting head down and going to the basket.
