Any thoughts on this one?

 

The All BGP Team consists of 10 total players. One of which will be named Player of the Year. All classifications are eligible. The team will be announced shortly after the Sweet 16 is completed.

 

Who is deserving of being on the team and why? We all know the no brainer selections. Who are some of the other folks deserving of recognition?

The first name that comes to mind for me is Trevon Faulkner. Sophomore. Mercer County Senior High School.

 

Trevon is averaging 19 points a game, shooting 54% from the floor, 40% from three, 81% from the free throw line and pulling down 6 rebounds a game. He has shown the ability to take over a game when needed and does some of his best work late in ballgames when he is needed the most. He can create his own shot and his ability to hit the jumper from deep as well as mid range has made him a versatile offensive threat and a nightmare to defend.

 

I don't know if he will make the All BGP Team this year but he is deserving and if he doesn't make it this year I imagine he will make the next two seasons. He is a tremendous player.

That always carries weight. I think Nick Ruthsatz played his way into the team because of his Sweet 16 performance.

Travion Hollowell & Kyky Tandy from UHA have had great years, but both are probably more realistic for next year. And in Tandy's case, the next 3 years.
