Aaron Snyder: Rams' Eyes Wide Open
Sounds like Ashland may face Highlands with only the butcher and the candlestick maker.

4A Playoffs: Covington Catholic at Johnson Central predictions
Did Johnson Central only play 9 regular season games? Please list the opponents and the number of wins of each. There is no way you can exclude Ashland and your opponents have 43 wins. If so I guess your remaining opponents which would be 9 would average less than 5 wins. Someone help me with this: Team from Indiana - 0 wins, Team from Canada - 0 wins, Boyd - 1 win, Greenup - 2 wins, Rowan - 3 wins, Belfrey - 10 wins, Harlan - ?, Harrison - ?, Ashland - 8 wins, these are probably wrong. I am anxious to see.

4A Playoffs: Covington Catholic at Johnson Central predictions
I have not seen Cov Cath on film, in years past I was always impressed with the size and athleticism of some of their linemen. Not sure how they stack up this year but they have had a few in the past couple of years that were more agile than the JC linemen I saw this year. No knock on the JC kids at all they are solid for sure and will most likely hold their own. This one will be a dandy game I think. The Cantrell ratings has them about dead even I think.

4A Playoffs: Covington Catholic at Johnson Central predictions
I would agree. However you will have a learning curve as it relates to the spread offense. It is just not the way the game is played in Eastern KY. The quicker you adjust the better your chances. If you beat Cov Cath then you have a good warm up for the next one.

4A Playoffs: Covington Catholic at Johnson Central predictions
I do not root for JC but I heard an opposing coach state that he was more impressed by their defense that the offense. I watched them play and while the backs are fast they are not different with their speed. The transfer from Sheldon Clark is fast and he looked different. Their back will run hard and run downhill every play and they will run hard even when they are not getting the football. Their strength on offense is in timing and execution. Defensivley #4 doesnt look big but he plays as big as #59 is at LB. Their secondary is above average athletically but may be inexperienced against the pass not so much in the vertical game but in more of the West Coast style. The were willing to play man on #9 from Ashland and Ashland didn't take any shots up top, not sure why, the Ashland kid is definitley faster. They are big up front and do a good job keeping lineman off the LB's. It will be interesting to see how they matchup against more of a true spread. I feel they will win this game because they will win the time of possession matchup. If Cov Cath can get JC in a couple of third a longs and get off the field then that changes. This is probably the best game going east of Lexington Friday night.

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
During the course of its internal investigation, Fairview Independent Schools determined that a student-athlete was allowed to enroll at Fairview High School and participate on the football team without a full examination of his past enrollment history, resulting in a violation of both Bylaw 4, Section 2 (during 2012-2013) and Bylaw 3 (during 2013-2014). This lack of an effective control procedure resulted in the student participating not for a brief, short period of time, but for more than a year, across two competitive seasons, and allowed the student the possible opportunity for an otherwise prohibited privilege of participating in five competitive seasons in the same sport following eighth-grade promotion This was taken directly from the KHSAA release, has it ever been reported that Ashland reported the infraction or is it just "common Knowledge"

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
Would have never happened, sidelinedoc would have blocked it because in his words, "I don't like it, not one bit." Now I know I am using this out of context a little but what the heck. I am curious if sidelinedoc thinks that if Ashland reported Fairview for a rules infraction that it was the right thing to do? Then I am curious as to what role he thinks Ashland played if any in convincing the McPeek family to transfer there? If he answers yes to the first question and none to the second question then he feels they acted accordingly and not without integrity. At this point the child is ineligible and if he stays there is no guarantee he will be ruled eligible and it is the opinion of sidelinedoc that he wont even be at Ashland next year anyway. So to put his hand on his hip and say I don't like it one bit? I dont get it.

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
The question was "How will he be eligible" I dont know, but I gave two instances of a dad losing a coaching job and not changing addresses and his son being allowed to transfer without sitting in the 16th region within the last 3-5 years. Was this taken into consideration when being considered? I don't know but if it was then there is definitely precedence in this situation.

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
I didnt know Ashland thought McPeek was wrongfully enrolled, and Bush and Gregg as well for that matter. My mistake.

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
If the intent of Ashland was to gain players by turning in Fairview then you can question the integrity. If that was not the intent then there is no question as it relates to the transfer.

Will Cody McPeek be eligible to play at Ashland next season?
I have seen a kid transfer from Boyd to Russell and not have to sit as well as two kids from Rose Hill to Ashland and they didnt have to sit and none of these had a change of address.

Fairview - KHSAA - Investigation
Funny, all is pretty quiet today on here, everyone must have got their bellies full over the weekend. There will never be a "tell all" unless someone writes a book and there are those involved that will somehow steer clear. The real question is "Will the penalties from playing the ineligible player be enough to slay the dragon?" I don't believe that all the dealings will ever be made public in a confirming way from the KHSAA. If there is no post season ban involved I don't believe the dragon will die.

This sounds like Jim Jones to me. However to those that truly believe in the school you should treat this threat as an opportunity to take back your school to work together with your former classmates and neighbors and resurrect the school that educated you that produced winning teams from your community. If you don't you may wake up one day and say I wish I had acted. Your school is represented with the F not duct tape. You must realize that these people were leeches and thriving off your goodheartedness. This is your opportunity not your obituary. To take advantage you can't rally in support for those who have used you for so long. You need to make a stand and not keep quiet tell the truth don't hide it. It will be painful but if you do you will be stronger for it. Good luck tonight, may God guide your conscience and give you courage.

Fairview - KHSAA - Investigation
In the Ashland paper at the beginning of the year there was a quote that 42% of Fairview students were out of district. It was in defense of the high number of out of district kids on the football team. I hope those that want to continue to support the firm of McPeek, McPeek, and Musik realize that if those kids alone transfer to their district school due to poor academics or football fiasco that Fairview will soon cease to be a school.

The people that I am talking about would have been out of high school a while. Not sure who live where just know what I was told from a local insurance agent while he was showing me pictures.
