Greenup County 11 Ashland 0
While basketball has about half the starting positions and half the roster this isn't a great comparison. However I believe the best baseball player at Ashland is no longer playing.

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
Ok I understand. How does that affect his 40 time at the combine?

Are they required to post the job for so many days?

I don't know. A post said 4.36. I was just looking at what was posted by the event holder?

You can look at Rivals.com the Nashville results and it says Shamari Morton ran a 4.73.

Which Rivals Combine?

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
I could note as well that he weighed in at 198 at the combine. It will be interesting to see the results of this added muscle.

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
I agree Ram. That is why I initially stated that he was the fasted kid at both the recent combines that he attended.

Ashland joins ranks of schools looking for coach
Wouldn't be as difficult as you think.

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
Numbers are irrelevant. I was as fast as I needed to be. If I had a foot race with my two kids at the same age I probably would have finished second. Besides I wasn't gonna chase your behind anyway. If I couldn't make contact in the first few yards I figure it would have been the other safety's job. And yes I did play in the secondary. I had one opposing coach say "What do you weigh son?" I said "190." He said "If you were here you would be a lineman" My response "Glad I am not there" How is that for describing the awesomeness of barely breaking 5.

Lower than everyone at the last two combines.

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
Just looked at the results from the Nashville Rivals Combine and while the numbers are a little different when compared to the Best of the Midwest, Quintin Baker again ran the fastest 40 of the combine. This was outdoors in low 50 degree temps, slight rain, and a 10-15 mph crosswind. I know the conditions because I was there.

Jordan has too high of a ceiling to risk long term problems for his sophomore season.

Top of 16th region
How Jordan recovers from a nasty ankle sprain at the end of basketball season may keep them from being a contender this year.

Ashland joins ranks of schools looking for coach
I don't think Biggs' methods or rules were the problem especially in the areas of how you practice and how you dress and look. I think his stance on athletes that play other sports is what eventually cost him athletes. He believed that basketball came first and trumped all other. If there was a conflict in scheduling the kid was punished for not choosing basketball. He would not make an exception when it came to kids that had opportunities to play another sport after high school. I saw this with Withrow and Salow. My guess is the athletes that aren't playing now recognized this and chose not to be singled out because they had other interests.

Ashland will be mediocre this year and Russell may be better than you think.

Ashland joins ranks of schools looking for coach
Not a Biggs fan, but not sure he earned being let go. As was mentioned, if Miller was healthy and Thornton doesnt move, Ashland would have been competitive in the 16th.

Elliott County 49 Morgan County 43 (16th Region Championship)
Was Morgan in the 61st when they won the region?

correct

Elliott County 49 Morgan County 43 (16th Region Championship)
I stand corrected. Since Ashland's last regional title only Rose Hill, Morgan, Rowan, Elliott, East, Russell and Fleming have won titles.

Congratulations to Elliott County, being familiar with the area and several of the folks of the Sandy Hook area, as well as a few of the parents of the players, I couldnt be happier for them. Well played.

You can add Russell, West, Lewis, Morgan, Greenup, Raceland, Fairview, Boyd, Rose Hill, Menifee, and Bath to that list as well.

Eligibility question
I wont name the team because I dont know for sure this happened. The statement made to me was "Do you ever wonder why player finished 8th moved then repeated 8th and now plays as a senior?" I said "Are you sure" Answer "yes and I cant believe no one brings it up" So I inquired about the rule because if its within the rules, then it doesnt matter. As for the ineligible second 8th grade year that is the way it would be under the new rule I think. The clock starts on 9th grade enrollement under the new rule and 8th grade completion under the old rule. If I am wrong about the rule just cancel the thread.
