I would bet an ice cold 6 pack of soda you are anti Highlands! Not that it matters!!! Its perfectly ok to root for who you want! As long as its positive towards the young ladies and creates discussion on Fast Pitch Softball I am all for it! Heck some of my favorite posters do or did a great job stirring it up (like JMU), and most of the time it created discussion and feedback!

Northern Kentucky fields are improving greatly! The Birdcage at Winkler Park is the location of the NEW Home field for Fort Thomas Highlands High School in Northern Kentucky when finished for the 2015 season they will be able to host District or Regional Tournaments heck maybe a super regional if they went to that format! There are some pics available on Highlands Threads or 36th district threads! The field inside the fences is already first class while the concession stand with restrooms with a second story press box/media room along with an umpire/meeting room is being built this fall! Notre Dame has put together an awesome complex with the most luxurious dugouts I have ever seen! Newport and Newport Catholic has already built fences on their softball only fields at Newport Vets (2 nice fields back to back) I have heard they will begin construction of a concession/ press box building. There is a 3rd field on same grounds that would require temporary fencing but could easily be converted to softball. All 3 fields have lights! Bring the State Tournament to Northern Kentucky!

I would agree they are your 3 favorites. What would the ranking be of the 8 teams remaining in the 9th? NDA- On top until somebody can knock of the Champs Conner- Ahead of Boone due to head to head in District Boone- Behind Conner for above reason Highlands- Simply because I am a Homer! NC- Hard to beat Good Pitching and that young lady can shut down good hitting! Dixie- Because they are a 1 seed and must be playing well! St. Henry- If your a 1 seed you Don't want too look past this team. Holy Cross- Better not have an off day cause they could send you home. Is the 9th region really only a 3 horse race before the draw?

I would label that as a guarantee if HHS is the winning team it would be fun for the Lady Bluebirds, heck we may have a parade! I am guessing there are 8 (at least 6) teams in the Region that shares that sentiment. Since you brought up predictions is there a team in the 9th region tournament that is unbeatable or should we say a lock to win the Region?

It lived up to the billing of a Championship Game! Turned out to be a pitchers duel. Worth the price admission!

Another 1 run game between these 2 teams! Both girls pitched GREAT GAMES and there D played hard behind them! Wouldn't it be fun to have a rematch in the regional finals!

I will be there! The Hot Dogs are very good! I have taken in too many of them over the last 3 days! This game should be worth the $5 price of admission as these 2 have battled to some close games over the last couple years! The Lady Birds have been on a roll lately averaging in double digit hits over the last 14 or 15 games, and NCC always shows up to play in the Championship Game! We will see if the birds bats can stay hot vs the young pitcher for NCC and Co Player of the year winner. Likewise it should be an interesting matchup of the co players of the year! Will she pitch to Graybill? I doubt it. I think it will come down to which team plays the best D!

After the season someone should organize a BGP Happy Hour gathering somewhere! Maybe we could all get together at Jewels on the Ave after hours some evening.

A dollar or 2 at the gate is better than the $5 to NKU to park. Pay the extra 150 or whatever it is these days on top of the contract and tack it on the price of admission. I would rather put a couple $ in NCC pocket than $5 in NKU pocket. Its a win win

Walton Verona deserves to be at least #6 if not higher!

For discussion purposes would this be the breakdown if there were 3 classes (A, AA, AAA) in softball on the state level in the 9th Region?

The game was definitely worth price of admission and obviously I got my monies worth when it came to seating! Much more comfortable and I would of needed a pillow!

The wild pitch came on an attempted intentional walk to load the bases with runners on 2nd and 3rd the runner on third being the winning run and I believe no outs. Intentional walks seem to always be an adventure in fast pitch!
