Final from Conner. Jada Collins with a walk off line drive single for the game winner. Boone advances to play the Ryle vs Conner winner on Thursday.

Boone County improves to 16-3-1 overall and 4-0 in district play. Big night for Karys Black with 2 homers.

Unfortunately in NKY "most" coaches only look at stats and win/loss records when voting for any post season awards. They don't into take into consideration the level of competition a team or player had played against. Sad, but true.

Boone ended up winning the North Bullitt game 12-2. If Boone can clean up the mistakes and make the routine plays they will have a very good season.

Great player and a terrific young lady! Maclai plays for Static Elite Shepherd now and played with Team Kentucky last season.

Boone actually took the opening drive of the 2nd half down to the Ryle 16 and had a WR drop a touchdown pass. After that Boone didn't move the ball much.

It sure was fun to watch a shortstop that isn't afraid to get dirty. Haley and Maclai are easily the best 2 shortstops that I've seen play this year.

I see the NKY coaches didn't do their homework. I'll leave it at that.

Karys and Morgan (both 7th graders) have been great while filling in for the injured starters. Boone currently has a very young starting lineup with the 2 7th graders mentioned above, 1 8th grader, 1 freshman, 3 sophomores, and 2 juniors.

Catcher with a broken thumb, CF with a concussion, and 1st basemen with a leg strain. CF should be back soon.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Conner wins this one. Boone is down 3 starters due to injury and I think that will be too much for Boone to overcome against a good Conner team.

The "international tiebreaker" rule refers to the extra-inning rules set by the International Softball Federation. If a game under ISF rules is tied after seven innings, the tiebreaker rule is put into effect. The ISF rules apply to both fastpitch and slowpitch softball, although in the United States they are more widely used in fastpitch games. The intent of the rule is to bring extra-inning games to a speedier conclusion.

Boone wins the Carroll County Classic championship. The game was tied 4-4 at the end of 7, and Boone won in the 8th inning ITB.

Why would that be? Highlands lost to 4 very good teams outside of Northern Kentucky. They could have just racked up wins by run ruling the bottom feeders in Northern Kentucky. Instead they challenged themselves by playing some of the better teams in the state and will be better for it. I don't have a vote, but if I did my #1 team in NKY would be Highlands.

I find this topic to be comical. Boone County plays one of the tougher schedules of any team in Northern Kentucky. Boone starts out the season at the Marshall County Slugfest with solid teams entered such as Marshall County, Graves County, and Henderson County. Boone is also scheduled to play in the Kentucky Prep 5 Star Classic with a solid field that includes #2 Woodford County , #9 North Laurel, #20 South Laurel, and Johnson Central. Boone is then scheduled to play in the Queen of Swing at East Carter. East Carter (#14) has the top 2018 pitcher who will be pitching at the University of Alabama in a couple years. Montana is fun to watch! I don't know why they don't play but it certainly isn't because they fear any team or player. The last regular season game against Highlands was the inaugural game at the Birdcage. Could it be that Highlands doesn't want to make the return trip to Boone County?
