Highlands will definitely be the team to beat in the 9th Region. Boone County usually doesn't get much talk in any of the preseason conversations but they do return all but 1 starter from a team that went 18-10 outscoring the competition 189 to 94 while playing a tough schedule. Last years schedule included teams such as Meade County, Woodford County, East Carter, and Milford, Oh. The 2016 schedule should be even more challenging.

This isn't the first time I have read a comment about Boone County being an "inner city" school. Boone has competitive teams in basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and others sports so why is being a so called "inner city" school keeping them from being competitive in football?

Dallis wasn't just a great player, she was also a leader and role model to the younger players.

Congrats to Miranda! She is a very hard worker that puts the time in to get better.

Olivia pitched well and picked up the win in the North Hardin game and threw a perfect inning in the Spencer County game. She also pitched well last week in the 5-3 loss to Lakota West. Anderson County is a very good team. I told her when we got to the Georgetown exit that I just saw the ball land that the catcher for Anderson hit, and she just smiled.

The upper classman are leading the way for the Rebels; Dallis Knotts (SR)-.519 batting average. One of the best players in the region. Great all around player. Madison Graham (SR)-.320 batting average. Had a clutch 2 run homer in the Walton Verona game. Kiersten Maines (SR)-.296 batting average Caitlyn Palmer (JR)-.519 batting average Haley Delaney (JR)-.292 batting average All the players mentioned above can for hit for average and power. They also set a great example for the younger players. The rest of the starting lineup is made up of 1 sophmore, 2 freshman, and 1 8th grader.

Lakota West, ranked #2 in Cincinnati D1, scores the games final 2 runs in the 4th inning. Boone County out hit Lakota West 10-8 but couldn't come up with the big hit while leaving 8 runners stranded in this one. Ashley Sharp who is committed to Wright State University pitched for Lakota West.

She pitched the last 2 seasons for the Thunder Elite '00. They finished in 5th place last season at the 12U ASA/USA Nationals in Chattanooga, TN. They had an outdoor record of 77 wins and 7 losses against very good competition.

Would definitely be top heavy with pool A and B being stacked. A-Boone County over Knock B-Ryle over Bracken County C-Campbell County over Grant County D-Bishop Brossart over St Henry

I have to agree with the off season comment. DD played at NKU 2 weekends ago, Hamilton last weekend, Harrison this coming weekend, and will be in Mason 10/19. I'm not complaining because DD enjoys it, and the family enjoys watching her play.

knotts is the winning pitcher and Stein hit a solo homer over the left field fence. Good win for Lady Rebels.

Boone has a couple young pitchers. Jackson-as last season progressed pitched the majority of the JV games as a 6th grader with good success. She currently plays travel with the Cincy Static 00-Morris team. You also have 8th grader Grau who is a nice left-handed pitcher who had a good season last year. I believe she is still playing travel with the Mason Thunder 99.

Bandits lost the next game to a team called Sneaky Cleats out of Texas.

Bandits 6 San Diego Rebels 5 It is 2 and out and I'm not exactly sure on the number of teams. It is all the #1 seeds and all power pool teams in this bracket.
