The Lloyd Juggernauts travels to Owen Hauck Stadium to take on the Rebels. Lloyd comes in on a 2 game winning streak against the Rebels. Lloyd moved the ball up and down the field last week against NCC, but stalled in the red zone. Evans throws a nice ball and has some very good receivers to throw to. Collin’s was held in check by NCC last week rushing for 32 yards, but rushed for 313 yards and 3 scores last year against the Rebels. The Rebels come in 1-0 after defeating Holmes 41-0 last week. This will be a big step up in competition for the Rebels against a good Lloyd team. Can the Rebels limit the explosive plays that have haunted them the last 2 matchups against Lloyd? Hoping for a competitive game and both sides to be injury free.

Boone County travels to Covington to take on the Holmes Bulldogs. Boone was competitive the last scrimmage against Campbell County with Campbell County leading 7 to 6 at halftime, and 20 to 6 at the end of the 3rd quarter before JV/Freshman finished the 4th quarter. Coach Court has brought a lot of energy and positivity to the program and I expect the Rebels to play hard.

The same kids started out at Boone County, then West Clermont, Cooper, and now Taft. Par for the course.

All year we heard about Cooper’s injuries. Newport’s best player is injured early in the game and they still found a way to hang on for the win. Good luck to Newport going forward, and congrats to Cooper on a fantastic season!

I recently talked to a family member of a coach that applied for this position. This coach has many years of head coaching experience at a NKY school. It would be a solid hire if he is selected.

AD is very pleased with the list of candidates thus far. He will not be releasing names of candidates due to privacy reasons which I completely agree with.
