Why would that be? Highlands lost to 4 very good teams outside of Northern Kentucky. They could have just racked up wins by run ruling the bottom feeders in Northern Kentucky. Instead they challenged themselves by playing some of the better teams in the state and will be better for it. I don't have a vote, but if I did my #1 team in NKY would be Highlands.

Highlands is the #1 team in northern Kentucky...i'd go as far as including the 9th & 10th regions (and probably the 8th if I knew more about the southern teams in that region).

I totally agree, Highlands is the #1 team around here. Camels should have beat them, but that is not saying CC is a better team. We were just the better team on that given day.

As much as these rankings are good for banter, all that matters is district seeding games, district tourn games and Region games. I believe that is the theory behind HHS scheduling. Learn from these tough games and be prepared come May when it matters. Strong senior leadership and coaches message will keep their focus on the goals. Record means little at this point.

 

And btw, CCHS played a very tough nosed game and everyone from HHS has supported that. Not sure how it could be said that CCHS "should have won the game" though. HHS left 7 on base compared to 5 for CCHS. To me it was a pretty even game. "If 'ifs and buts' were fruits and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas" Kenny Sheilds

I don't know about the 9th and 10th but as far as Highlands being the best in the 8th is crazy. Highlands is no where near the team that Anderson, Oldham County and Collins are. I would say that was proven in E-town.
