  1. There's no winning a discussion like this. I can pick any team in NKY and pick out flaws in there schuedule. High schools graduate players, injuries happen, and kids move.So how does anyone expect a high school coach to know who's going to be good a year from now. Ryle last year was a top 20 team in the state. This year Ryle is struggling to stay in the top 10 NKY coaches poll. The issue is with the same haters from about a month ago criticizing CHS on weak sch. Only difference is this time around the Boone, and New Cath fans aren't posting.
  2. To beat Madison Central by 20 enough said . Marion county is QUEEN.
  3. She is a very good player. Better than what a lot of people think. If Nell would give her a bit more of a leash she can do and is capable of doing some damage to opposing opponents .
  4. Conner vs Boone game should be a great game. Match ups are very close. With Meyers still out, there's no height advantage very either team. However Scott is still a beast and not sure Boone can guard her.
  5. Ryle's opponents thus far record is 8-17. If you want to add Ryle's next opponent combined record of 10-22. Highlands opponents thus far overall record of 16-18. Not as bad as Ryle's but don't tell me Coach Richey is staying up late worrying about S. Oldham,Montgomery Co, and Woodford combined 4-11. This was brought up by talking about soft sch. Plenty of schools that have hopes of state championship runs aren't playing top notch opponents every night.
  6. I think triple 7 and Ian need to look again at other schools sch. Highlands 4 less than par teams to play on sch.Ryle has 4 less than par teams. But you aren't calling them out. I understand that when somebody does well its human nature to try to cut them down. But it's not necessary to try to justify why a team is off to a great start by saying its because of a soft sch. Conner has won 7 games its a long season with plenty of good teams still to play.
  7. And some of these "other schools" play in a soft conference. Conner has just as many challenges on the sch as "other schools". They start Saturday with Tates Creek and a week from today at South Oldham tournament only to be followed by Conners own tournament with New Cath, Louisville Pleasure Park, Boone, and Highlands. Not to mention they play in what could be argued as the toughest district in NKY. So to say they play a soft sch just isn't true.
  8. Very deserving for Jordan and Nicole. Both are tremendous players.
  9. Well then with that logic Boone should be ranked over Holy Cross.
  10. Does anyone know how Conner looked in the scrimmage today?
  11. I don't believe adjusting to varsity full time will take Hunter, Maddie, and Taylor long to figure out. All three play year round AAU against top teams and players in the area around. All have played varsity, all have been in Stamm system for well over a year. All 3 practiced everyday last year against and withCastleberry, Peacock, and Ray. Taylor will be extremely valuable this year backing up Pluto at the point. But she's very capable of taking that on. Very good ball handler, tough defender, and knows how to get everyone involved on offense. Should be fun to watch and see these girls in bigger roles at CHS this year.
  12. Your right Boone and Ryle have not left the district. But the D1 talent they had last year have left the district. Boone and Ryle are not the same teams as last year.
  13. Totally disagree Jordan is a very good player, but Conner has other players that can help them win.
  14. High expectations this year. Have a very good players with Jordan Scott, Maddie Meyers. Concerned a little with depth of bench. Also have a talented freshman class but not sure how much they will be able to contribute at the varsity level.
  15. I agree with Big Zig but would switch Ryle at 4 and Boone to 6.
  16. ND should be the favorite in 9th. But don't over look Conner.have some talented seniors and freshman. They can play.
  17. Ryle should have a goos year. They have big shoes to fill with Jenna gone. 9th will be extremely tough with Conner and Boone.
  18. Well only NKY players mentioned are Schaeffer-Highlands, Kiernan-NCC. Where is Dawn Johnson- Ryle, Jessica Jones-Boone, Abby Owings-Simon Kenton, Ally Mayhaus- Holy Cross, Deja Turner- Holmes. I know these girls arent in 2015 class but they arent mentioned in Demlings rankings of the above girls classes.
  19. It doesnt seem like NKY girls get a lot of respect or recognition on these rankings.
  20. No Dawg. Conner has the best freshman class in NKY coming in.
  21. Most parents like to think there kid is the next big star. When that doesnt happen its got to be someones fault. My kid doesn't get enough playing time, or my kids a better shooter it goes on and on. Spend a day at SOAS its relentless. The worst part of the entire Cooper situation is a good chunk of those varsity players are not even coming back and they still lost there coach.
  22. Ryle still has Oliverio and Dawn Johnson. Should still be a good team. But would agree that Conner has the right mix of older and younger talent to wIn distict.
  23. Simon Kenton has a very good point guard. And Holy Cross has a impressive center in Ally Mauhaus.
