Congrats to Cooper on the first win over Conner. Very fun game to watch. Both teams played hard. Free throw shooting definitely hurt the Cougars tonight.

Everyone should get trophies, and equal playing time,. Also scores shouldn't be kept that way there is no winner or loser.

It's painful to watch. So you have this going in high school ball. And AAU is a blood sport compared to what's being called in high school. Let the girls play.

How many point per game would it take for you to consider somebody a "scorer"? Last year was Maines 1st year as a starter and avg 10 a game. Maines is a senior also this year and going into her 2nd year as a starter and extremely athletic. Why is she not being mentioned? Hendricks 1st year as a starter avg 8.5 pts as a freshman. She's going in to her 3rd year playing varsity. 2nd year as a starter Every year always seems to be the same question. When Toria Fischer graduated people said the same thing and then Dawn Peacock stepped up. Then last year when Dawn was gone Jordan stepped up to be the top scorer. The concern I see is who can fill in after the starters (subs)And who is the fifth starter for Conner?

Hey mommy\daddy goggles are great. I wear mine all the time..And the season will soon be here so all of of our questions will be answered . I wish the best to all girls and hope that NKY girls basketball starts getting more attention. Because there is plenty of talent in all the teams mentioned in the top 10 of the 9 th region.

4 Don't know why you have Highlands so high to young to get that much credit at this point 5, Never under estimate Boone 6. Lost there top scorer but returning 3 starters who last year were 2nd, 3rd and 4 th scorers on the team. 8. Cooper will be better with new coach. My thoughts are best coach in NKY. 9. Ryle . Different team than last year . But not as good as last years team either But top 3 teams are the teams to beat. ND, NCC, and Holy Cross ( only with D Turner) if no D. Turner Boone 3 and Holy Cross 6 maybe 7

I am not sure about Holy Cross. I like there starting 5 but not sure about there subs.

You can't judge any team of how they looked in the summer. Not all players attended those games. Coaches are giving all players opportunities to play in the camps.

Does anyone know what players are attending this yet? Or better yet what universities are attending?

I agree sumoroyal but that's not the way it is today. AAU, and off season high school. It is 365. Unfortunately if you watch enough basketball you can tell what girls play year round and who doesn't. The pressure and costs to be " the player" is high. I wish Greenwell the best and speedy recovery but she isn't the first and won't be the last.

Need big year from Myers, Maines, and Hendricks. Lots of young talent on the bench but not varsity tested.

I agree with Hellbird. Sadie is a very good defender. JJ will be missed great athlete. But Boone has a good player in Sadie.

NKY Jags play in Lexington at KBA this coming weekend. Team consist of Boone, Walton Verona, and Conner girls.

Seriously! You want to post pictures and talk about illegal screens in high school girls basketball. It happens every game. Doesn't matter what school your talking about. Find it interesting you just want to show Conner setting your " illegal screens" . Where's the Notre Dame pictures? Your obviously a ND fan or parent which is fine. They are a great team no doubt. But to be so one sided is a joke. And to post your pictures. Tell you what if these 2 teams hook up again ill post the ND illegal screens. Cause clearly you have your parent goggles on.

Conner needs to sit starters let the bench play. This should be treated like a preseason NFL game. These 2 teams play again in less than 2 weeks when it means something. Don't even run normal offense or defense.

Conner will be real hard to beat with a balanced offense attack like they had tonight. Nice win Cougars!

Agree with you. Works very under the basket. Not to many bigs can shoot free throws like her. Also hope for a speedy recovery for Emily. Definitely need her back as soon as possible.

Conner wasn't gased. Pluto had 4 fouls backup point guard was injured in JV game. Highlands coach Richey attacked the situation as all good coaches would and took advantage. It paid off and highlands came back to win. Highlands fans need to give her more respect. 2 weeks ago fans wanted to run her out of Ft.Thomas because of a loss.

You sure Meyers will be guarding Schafer? I'd think Scott would be guarding Schafer and Meyers guarding Daley. Regardless it will be a great game.

Conner wins by 6. Look for Scott and Meyers to have a huge night.
