Cam Ross at it again. Kid has had a great year, will be a tough matchup in 1st round of 9th.

Its not just those kids. A lot of people are still hanging on to the good ole days, when high school was king. Sad to say, but its became an after thought for these kids. Some were in awe of the poise CVH showed in sweet 16. That certaibly was not an after though-dont mean to imply that-but he has been there with AAU hoops, that stage just didnt phase him. Kids are just so much more prepared today than they uses to be, nothing seems to phase them.

I know, it's Ohio, but man this is unreal, and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is pretty local. Look at this kid's stats. He just set a national high school record with 32 consecutive K's. Kid is committed to UNC, but is projected as a mid first rounder. Saw him pitch last week, was a thing of beauty. What stands out to me? 2 BB in 37 IP. ERA can be manipulated by scoring decisions, but BB are pretty set in stone. Kid sits 92-93, with ability to gear it up from there. Big timer, and a fantastic kid with a high moral compass. You may not get many replies here, this tends to be skewed to the NKY area (I will admit I don't even know some of those counties and what schools are in them), but I have listed the top 10 in state below per PBR, and where they have committed. I am hesitant to paste more, so I will just give you the free version. The HR #s date the list. My guess is they are about 15 games stale, based on ABs and the HR listings, at least for BW. I think Ethan has 2.5(ha, giving him .5 for the infamous missing of homeplate) and Brett has at least 2, this per the twitter feed I have stopped sharing. Big numbers with Brayden out indeed, but looks line Schmidt and Hamilton have really stepped up. Come region play they will miss him in the rotation more than at the plate, IMO.

There have been a lot of "special freshmen" brought back down to earth when they start playing with 18 year old young men that are fully developed. I have heard this claim many times over the years, but rarely does it happen. Much better served playing Frosh or JV and watching the upperclassmen prepare in the weight room, film room, etc to see what it takes.

As a Jayhawk fan, I am thrilled I will get to watch Beetle play a few times. Have made the trip to Morgantown, now have another reason to go there. Be rooting for you kid, except when you visit The Phog.

Please tell me you arent going to go cyber metrics on us? Its HS, ERA and BA have historically been what we base these on. Can we please stay that way at this level. Exactly. The big thing for me is who he has started against, and how he has performed in those starts. Dunn is probably my runner up, but he just hasnt had the year Trey has. No offense to big Brayden, but he isnt even the MVP of his team, let alone the region. We fall in love with the long ball, but Jason Suchanek is the heart and sole of that team. #1 starter, SS, pure heart and leadership. Stringer and Combs get all the pub it seems, but Jason just goes out and does it.

Trey Ganns gets my vote (well, if I had a vote). Has been the ultimate 2 way threat all year. As for Top ten, not sure I would change anything other than shuffling the order based on my own opinion as I haven't seen enough, but if there are 10 players in NKy better than Cameron Ross, I have yet to see all of them.

I only know the first three on that list, but will go out on a limb and say they are shoe ins. Whether they will play will depend on when the event is, and where the Tomahawks are that weekend. No way they play if it requires them to miss any time with them.

I am certainly no expert, but I have witnessed Brayden Combs hit from a tee at Midland, and not sure he has registered much above 90 on exit velo, and watchimg him there is no comparison. Dont even get me started on Zach Shannon. 99 is probably right for that beast.

Jack Schneider of Davies County is right there with Adell. Those two will be top two when PBR comes out with classranks, IMO. Both have upper 80s arms now. I also was at the event when Adell registered his 99. I question the validity, that gun was on crack that day, but he can certainly pound it.

Per PBR, the #1 and #3 player in class. I've watched Easton pitch for a long time, has figured out how to pitch to match velocity he has always had.

Thats a pretty good days work, those are two of the best in the state. I was at the morning game, that was a complete mismatch.

So we congratulate Ludlow for a 19-0 win? Is that better than 27-1? Did Tyler Ltons have to hit 4 times? Where is the outrage? Those poor Villa kids. How will they evef be able to take the field again?
