Hard Work

Everyone has asked what the difference in this year's team. Desire to be the best is the difference this group at Shelby doesn't care if they won 44-0 the first time they want to beat Collins 100-0 this time. The kids are hungry and tired of the little brother mentality that was given to them when they built the other school across town with fresh turf and new facilities but forgot the school that existed before the thought of Collins! These kids are prepared to take the respect that they deserve. No one thought they'd be 10-1 right now they went 3-8 last year and we're predicted last in the district preseason. So no they don't think it's going to be handed to them they want it more than any other team!

Rosebury played in the SC game! He was knocked out! It's not like they didn't have him he started and decided he didn't want anymore! That would validate your youth argument!

At the start of the year Shelby only returned one starter offensively and he only saw 3 games in the previous year. For a line with 4 seniors on it that's no experience this year the Rockets have truly pulled it together this year offensively. I have a hard time seeing that collins entire line has had more experience and they don't produce more offensively! And Collins folks continue to bring up Rosebury like he wasnt in the game but he started the game abd was knocked out by Manica and didnt return to action!

I agree it could make a huge difference especially if the kids respond better.

There is only one new face on the staff.. The OC was there last year along with the rest of the coaches!

Nobody is taking this game lightly.. but I don't see two players on that team that are 44 points better.. I'm glad everyone is back and healthy so that there won't be any gaps or excuses to use on why Collins lost to Shelby 2 times in the same year! Collins main issue is the trigger man he just isn't the guy for the job he has struggled all year and it's understandable being a small guy behind a decently sized line. Shelby rolls SC-35 MLCHS- 7

I'm going with the under dog Spencer runs the rock to a victory. This Spencer team is a very good disciplined team they do what they are supposed to do and they do it well. They have only lost one game and that was to a good Shelby County team. We all knew Franklin County hasn't been the same since the Shelby game. This will be John Hardins true measurement as to where they stand for the rest of the playoffs. This should be one of the better games across the state, can't wait to see how this one turns out! No they are able to pass but they run the ball well they've had major run games this year posting 3 games with 700+, 500+, and 400+ rushing. They are hard nose and the coach has them playing well this year this one should be alot better than yesterday's game!

North isn't terrible they know how to drain the clock out of the game with their rushing attack there was a similar score in the Shelby game! The Flyers offense has the weapons! Hopefully the shot caller can get it together and district 4 gets the sweep over 3! John Hardin doesn't have an easy road even if they win! Can't wait to see these first round matchups and how they turn out!

Only time will tell! I know football and the Rockets are playing great football if they keep it up they could cause real problems deep in the playoffs. This is 2015 not Rockets of old!

First off for the 44pt comment would you like me to post a picture of the scoreboard from last night? The Rockets DOMINATED all aspects of the game even the KO return called back after the safety. 4 parts of the game the Rockets owned the field. From the intro to the benediction it was all Shelby! As for you John Hardin Fans climbing on this post at some point this year every team has been ranked in 4A now as for Breckenridge who's 2-7 and for Western 3-6 I doubt they have been in any rankings nor have I seen them on any post. District 4A might pull off the sweep if Franklin can play to their potential and pull off the upset! The region winner comes from district 4!

You can juggle all aspects the weather was better for Collins Vs County it was played on turf also. Bottom line Franklin beat Shelby, Collins beat Franklin, Spencer beat Franklin and Collins and lost to Shelby, this is why we are all spectators, coaches, and players of this game. Title is on the line for Friday for the Rockets those that think the Franklin game defines them as a team wasn't there in the down pour and doesn't know this team. As for the coaching comment Coach Lucas is a great coach.. but this is not the same staff of Shelby in years past. Hope you got your tickets for the game the town should shut down and come watch IMO..it's going to be a great one!

The injury bug is plaguing the Rockets so far this week there are a couple of big time players who may not play Friday due to serious injuries. Hope they can recover in time for the game!

Can Shelby do what's never been done before and beat Collins to Win the District, or will history repeat itself and Collins continue to own the series since the split? This should be one great game Friday night! District 4 in Class 4A has been full of surprises all year! Who you taking?
