Thats all I'm saying. Thank god someone else understands this. Look at some of the DIII schools 800 students and 80 football players, baseball, basketball. DIII can not give you more monies for playing a sport. Thats why they are in DIII!! They can't give you anymore money than if the student went as a nonplayer.

DIII can not make up for it. Thats what the article is pointing out. To sum it up. A DIII player gets no more monies than if that student just enrolled into the school as a nonplayer. If your son is getting 50% of the schooling paid for it's for GPA ACT scores or needs based. Thats it they can't do anymore than that. Any kid that plays at the next level is a very good football player. I'm just trying to point out that some of the lower level DIII schools use sports as an enrollment booster. The facts are that 21% of the student body are playing sports.

Most D3 kids are not getting a large portion of there school paid for. Thats just not true. IN fact some D3 schools use sports as an emrollment tool. Thats a fact. Some D3 have 800-900 students, and they field a football team with 80 kids basketball and so on. Over 20% of the students are playing a sport. To keep everyone honest, the NCAA requires each Division III school to report how much money it gives to students who play sports and how much money it gives to nonathletes. Those numbers show that athletes at Division III schools, on average, aren't getting significantly more money than nonathletes. Sports players make up 21 percent of the student body at Division III schools, he said. In recent years, the NCAA has found that athletes receive 22 percent of all the scholarship dollars handed out by Division III schools. Do Division III Schools Give Athletic Scholarships? - US News

D1 schools are looking for height and speed. You could be the best lineman in the state but a 5'10 Tackle just is not tall enough. D1 schools know the size and speed they want at every spot on the field.

Dixie Heights 2014
Dixie has to find a WR. The power run game works well but not if your down a few TDs. Dixie in 2014-2015 should be on of the top in NKY.

Newport didn't play a real big. That's What they didn't play much. Hedger still had 8 rebounds. HEDGER plays because of defense. Who else besides B.H. is strong enough to guard other teams bigs?- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
They must know that fact because they didn't/couldn't go inside at all.- Holmes 90 Beechwood 32
Wow! Is beachwood realy that bad or is Holmes that good??- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
4 points Dixie's defense is for the 5 spot to side over and help on the drive at all cost. The 5 has to leave his man and stop the ball. SK didn't seem to take advantage of this.- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
Hedger had 9 Niehaus had 10.- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
Anyone have a boxscore?- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
Has s.k. played anyone Good?? DIXIE KILL THEM INSIDE- Dixie Heights 67 Simon Kenton 49
Dixie beat s.k. inside tonight. S.K. Doesn't try to go inside at all. I like S.K. coach very into the game.- Dixie Heights 78 Lewis County 75 (2 OT)
It's up to the ref to set the tone of the game. If they don't call dead ball fouls and diving on top of players then the game get out of control.- Dixie Heights 78 Lewis County 75 (2 OT)
No this was more than bad ref's. This is safety of players- Dixie Heights 78 Lewis County 75 (2 OT)
I don't think the cops were called in. Rember there isn't much to due in Lewis Co. I think they were just killing time. The Lewis fans were fine very nice people. It just seemed that thrthe ref's wanted a closer game. I LOVE PHYSICAL PLAY but this game was out of control. That's the ref's fault. When a player is dove on at half court, or pushed with two arms extended after play has stopped and no call.....- Dixie Heights 78 Lewis County 75 (2 OT)
What is your opinion on Hatton being pushed with two hands after play was stopped? That's a T in any region. Dixie beat Lewis county on their home floor. If this game was played in the 9th blow out city.- Dixie Heights 78 Lewis County 75 (2 OT)
Hatton being pushed in front of the ref's with a dead ball and no foul??? Should be a T. - Dixie Heights 66 Newport 45
