After play was stoped Lewis co. player with two hands pushes Hatton. NO foul or Tech??? Score was tied with 10 sec to go Dixie shoots a 3 Hedger rebounds the ball goes up for an easy put back both his arms are pulled down. No call with time running out. Dixies bench exploed. On a fast break Hedger had a break away lay up Lewis co. Big man tackels Hedger. Should have been an int. foul. Lewis co. player didnt go for the ball. This game was out of controll beacuse of the refs. Dixie was up by 21 mid way in 3rd quarter. Thens the fouls started. At least the better team won.

I'm not saying the fouls you report weren't fouls. I have no way of knowing without video.

 

Where I struggle is no foul being called when "both his arms are pulled down" or "big man tackles..."

Foul was called on the tackle play. Should have been int. Foul. Lewis Co player didn't play the ball.

Hatton being pushed in front of the ref's with a dead ball and no foul??? Should be a T.

I've since gotten more detailed info... was told by my son that it was by far "the weirdest" game he has ever played in. Foul calls were lopsided, lots and lots of "traveling" calls against Dixie that were not being called the other way and very physical, deliberate fouls that we're either not being called or not being called properly (ie: flagrant, intentional).

 

He said the fans were outwardly flipping off and cursing at the Dixie fans and even challenging some to fights. 7 extra police officers were called in towards the end of the game. When Rabe got tackled at half court and there was no call the Dixie bench almost emptied onto the floor, but calmer heads prevailed.

 

He said one of the refs was literally missing teeth and talked like he had the reading level of a 3rd grader. My son was not being mean about it, as he was more in shock at the very obvious unintelligible speaking by this ref.

 

I'm glad I was not there. He said I would have been on the floor and then in jail for the night.

I was at the game also, it got a little intense at times. The only play I agree that should have been a foul called was on the loose ball and the Lewis player jumped on top. If you thought this was a badly called game, you need to stay in the 9th region. There was certainly some calls that could have been made, both ways. What has failed to come out is that a Lewis player was t'd up early in the game and the coach never put him back in. As for the players both arms getting pulled down, no way, could there have been a foul called, possibly. This game in no way was completely one sided!! It was a game where Dixie thought they had a cake walk and ran into a Lewis team that played harder. For the video being sent to the KHSAA, your coach would have that option, I doubt he thinks it warrants that though!!

You got bad information, there were 4 police officers there, the were in and out of the gym all day. They were not called in!! The refs on this game are 3 of the top 8 in the 16th region. All 3 have done multipal regional tourney's and one has done the girls state. I would recommend you watching the tape before taking someone's word!!

Was this the last game of the day? If it was earlier in the day thought we may have some posts from fans from Scott or Mason County that may have been in attendance to give their comments. I was going to this tournament and completely forgot about it, was wanting to see Johnson Central and Dixie.

As for the game, I was not there so I can't tell you what I saw. Glad to see Dixie pull out a W even if they did blow a lead (for whatever reason). A win is a win and that is what matters. Congrats to BHatt for his 100th win as a Colonel.

What is your opinion on Hatton being pushed with two hands after play was stopped? That's a T in any region. Dixie beat Lewis county on their home floor. If this game was played in the 9th blow out city.
