  1. Look I hope this kid plays well and has lots of D1 offers. But I have seen kids that grow quicker than the rest of their age. I know A kid now that was a super start 7th 8th grade basketball player. 6'2 in the 7th grade around 210 taller stronger than everone else. Guess what as a 10th grader hes still 6'2 210 and evertone else caught up. Still a nice player but not near the player everyone was saying. I don't know if thats the case with this kid. Only varsity time will tell.
  2. 1. Will this kid start on varsity this year 2. Will he put up the numbers? Good luck to him. I read the post that his varsity coach was watching youtube film of his own player. I don't care if this person fails or goes to D1. I do agree on getting film out to schools. I just don't think much stock is put in freshman film. I bet he got a lot of send me your varsity film next year.
  3. Camp means more than freshman/jv film see Zeke Pike.
  4. HAHA you are a joke. The kid was offered for his performance at the camp. Not his Freshman Film. If you think the varsity coach watches film of freshman you are dead wrong. If the kid is good we will see if he starts for 3 years on varsity. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  5. Your varsity coach watches his freshamn on you tube? LOLOLOL I though you were talking about college coaches. LOL No wonder Ryle was BAD last year. I could care less about a kid who hasn't played 1 varsity snap. I thought you were talking about sending the film to colleges. No College coach would care about Freshman flim.
  6. Playing football and basketball is very hard to do. You need a mix of skill basketball and weight strength for football. Very few kids can do that. If a kid can start on both the football team and basketball your a special player. Dixie heights had two kids that played a lot started that are football starters. Alex milligan he was a senior last year and Andrew Hedger was a sophomore last year. Both kids played in the post.
  7. I don't think any coach would think to much of freshman highlights. Kids grow at different rates. He may never grow an inch or he could grow 3 inches. Lets see how he does aginst the big boys.
  8. Agree. Hedger was 6'4 and 3/8 217 at uc's camp last week.
  9. Agree just posting what two sophs did last year.
  10. Yes it did. But big risk playing both. With an offer to play UK basketball being 7'0 tall, I would not play HS football. But it worked out well for him.
  11. Last year two Sophmores connected 32 times for 352 yard and 3 td's. Dixie Hieghts QB Drew More and TE Andrew Hedger. Has to be up there for yards and rec. by a sophmore combo.
  12. I do agree, if a kid has D1 offers. Then playing football isn't a good idea.
  13. You need some strong guys. But I have seen first hand a coach suggest not playing bball for football. Agin every coach wants their sport to be first. But if the kid can play. All that stuff doesnt matter.
  14. Suggesting the kid not playing aau bball during the summer is a problem. But I feel if your a good player talent will win out. The coach wants to win.
  15. No lets kids play. Its HS!! If I'm the coach I want my players lifting getting stronger.
  16. Uc's camp. Height shoes off 6'4 3/8. Weight 217.
  17. Andrew Hedger Dixie Heights 2015
  18. Asked by coach Punty to come to UC camp on the 7th. Bill Legg of marshall asked to come to camp on the 9th. Then a visit to eastern Michigan.
  19. Dixie should be much improved this season. #1. The play of Drew More is key. Look for More,Caple, Fisk, Johnson and Hedger to be the top players on this team.
  20. You are right. Height size is god given and at the nextblevel that's all you see. You don't see any 5'10 5'11 TE's o lineman. You can be the best strongest o lineman but height is a deal breaker.
  21. I could be wrong. I think he olny played jv basketball. The jv game I saw he didn't play a lot. But I only saw the one game. I still think his body type Iis that of an o lineman.
  22. Kids a beast bench press in the 320 range. At 220 that is crazy strong!! I was a powerlifter and I was 240 benching 320 and 30!!
  23. Ok. He is a good blocker. I see him as an o lineman. He had 1 rec. Last year for 10 yards vs Ryle.
