  1. I would say this is a pretty good assessment but I do think Cooper was a little more senior dominant than you thought. I know they lose the Keller twins at OLB, Watkins at DL and Brown at QB. All of these guys were great players for them last year.
  2. W With a two year starter at QB returning and around 100 receptions for the returning recievers, I look for SK's passing game to take it to another level next year.
  3. I guess, he has already been to Miami of OH's JR day with Cam and Brian Carter.
  4. There were times last year he was still out in front of Dillon 20+ yards down the field. Add this to his size and ability to move laterally and he is a very special lineman. He is headed to UK's junior day and the KY/LSU game this Saturday.
  5. So I guess the question is how far down were they. Arguably only 1 to 2 teams in 5A were better or equal to them. Is this a case of NKY 6A finally catching up to HHS? If I remember correctly Campbell County played them to a 1 score game the year before in 2014. It's obvious nobody in their class or lower has caught up to them so once again how far down were they?
  6. Brian attended Miami of OH's JR day with Colton Williams and Cam Racke.
  7. If he is not 6'1" he is very close. I have not heard of any offers but I do know he attended Miami of OH's JR day with Colton Williams and Brian Carter
  8. Colt has had a very exciting last few weeks. There have been a plethora of college coaches walking the halls of SK including a pair of SEC schools, he has been invited to the Nike open, and he has attended JR day at Miami of OH. The best news came today however, Colton has been officially offered a college scholarship to play for the University of Cincinnati. This is the first of many, one college recruiter called him a total freak show and a true national recruit.
  9. Ff They have sign ups at each of the middle schools to determine numbers. 87 is the number that signed up. The 8th graders have been in strength and conditioning for about a month now and numbers have been hovering around the 60s. With kids playing winter sports and some just being lazy 87 is probably pretty accurate. I in no way think they will have 87 kids still on the team by the first game but I would expect around 70.
  10. Are you talking Freshman results? If so SK decided to go to a full 2 platoon system at the Freshman level 3 years ago. Forgoing Freshman results and concentrating on developement and player retention is a big part in the maturation of their program. The incoming senior class is the first of this bunch and they are set to have 33 seniors on this year's team. There is a lot of talk on how the rest of the state can compete with the big boys in Louisville. One of those steps is number of players to choose from. Trinity, Male, and St X all have freshman football classes that are 70+ players consistently. Only time will tell if this narrows the gap but SK's recent success in NKY, at the Varsity level, seems to indicate that at the very least its putting them at or near the top of the NKY food chain.
  11. SK has 87 kids signed up for their freshman team this year. A good group of kids from South Kenton, Twenhofel, and Summit View coupled with a 14-1 season and you have a lot of interest filtered into your program. From what I have heard this will be one of the most talented classes ever to roll into SK.
  12. The concern isn't weather Cam did not play because of the coach, the concern is you had 7 JV/Varsity players choose not to come back out for the team this year. Of those 7, 2 were seniors that had played all the way up, 2 were basketball only, and at least 3 to 4 would have been key contributors to the varsity.
  13. There is no doubt JC is not having the year most thought he was going to have. While he has good vision, passing and shooting skills I think having to play so much point guard has hurt him. He is more suited for the 2 guard or small forward position.
  14. With both Male and Trinity putting so many kids on College football teams does that mean both take a step back to the pack next year? They seemed to be clearly better than anyone in the state last year. Does this open things up for teams like X, Scott Co, or Lafeyette
  15. U One of the favorites in the 8th. No injuries, they did have seven from last year's JV and Varsity choose to not play for various reasons but have been very healthy. They just have not jelled as a team for what ever reason.
  16. The real question is will the number of paramedics needed to treat us outnumber the amount of basketballs needed to fuel old man egos?
  17. Regardless of injury Weyer is your POY. With that said, I do believe it would be a closer race if Bezold and McNeil weren't hurt right now.
  18. Congratulations Dave. You were a pancake machine that will be sorely missed. Good luck at Georgetown, I am sure you will do great things.
  19. I have recently enrolled in GoBig Recruiting.com. No cost to enroll but it does cost to send your video. Basically your athletes profile is sent out to all enrolled schools and a coach from those schools can request you send them video. We are up to about 40 schools requested and I have yet to send out the video. Since the price goes down with multiple videos sent and a large part of the requests we have no interest in we are still gathering teams to send to.
  20. Tri-State Football.com is the All Star team you are thinking of not the Enquirer. The Enquirer is made up of media people who covered NKY football over the year. BTW Tri-State Football's all star team is only based on 30% fan vote, the other 70% is based on a panel of their staff I believe.
  21. Here is a link to the Enquirer All NKY 2015 Team http://www.cincinnatihttp://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/football/kentucky%20prep%20football/2016/01/23/fall-all-stars-2015---nky-football/79232952/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin=.com/story/sports/high-school/football/kentucky%20prep%20football/2016/01/23/fall-all-stars-2015---nky-football/79232952/ Congrats to all that made this team.
  22. Dillon is one of those kids that showed up on a lot of schools lists just not always at the top of those lists. At the end of the day he found a great fit for him. He will do good things at Wayne St.
  23. Congrats to Dillon. Wayne St is getting a terrific football player, student and person. His skills and leadership will be hard to replace at SK.
