This blue bell is nothing compared to what happened when I played 78-81. What Danville students did in 1980 to Rebel stadium and field was criminal and Boyle left some very bad graphics at the DHS practice field. This rivalry used to be a lot more intense than it is now. Hopefuly people will keep it on the light side and not return to those days.:thumb:

I never said Danville would stop Boyle from running, But I don't think it will be over at the end of the 3rd Qtr., because Boyle is going to run over Danville.

He is playing better, he still tries to do too much at times, but he is really strong with the ball. If he has time and decent protection he is a lot more accurate than last year and gains confidence as the game progresses. I think anyone would agree that Boyle should win this game, But what about their defense and the number of points they have given up so far as I mentioned in my previous post?

I hope Boyle does come out and try to power it down Danville's throat. I think people will be surprised with DHS defense. What I like is they are showing more agression and attitude this year. If Boyle isn't able to throw the ball, I think BC is still favored but it won't be over in the 3rd qtr.:eyeonyou:

I would agree about the DHS offense not being as strong as Highlands, But Collins I'm not sure about them, I haven't seen them play. Have you seen Danville play in a game this year? Their offense may surprise you! And I have seen the points being put on BC, past Boyle defenses would not have allowed those numbers, even from Highlands.

This could be the year Danville beats Boyle. Boyle has had there way for a while and have had good teams, but it hasn't always been that way, you never know when the tide will swing. BC does have a dominate edge the last 10 years or so but don't forget the DHS streak from 1980-1998 when Danville won evry meeting including playoff games. Just had to throw that in to make me feel better. I think BC should be favored. I do agree DHS will have to be without turnovers or no more than 2, but it seems BC has had turnover problems of their own so far. I feel a little better about DHS chances this year because I just don't see as dominate of players and defense BC has had in the past. Also, Danvile is showing more balance between run and pass about 50/50 yardage wise in the last game. If Danville can give Alcorn time I think he will complete some passes and Ace Ray did some big damage with big runs after the catch last week. I hope this will open up the running game. I know Danville has the ability to win, they just have to stay calm and focus. I'll take Danville 31 BC 28 with Danville's kicker winning it in the 4th Qtr with a long field goal. By the way, unless he just misses the ball on a kick off BC will be starting their drives from the 20 friday night.

Alcorn MVP 200+ passing, 100 yards rushing.

I saw most of Lincoln's game and all of Danville's game last week. I will be surprised if its not a blow out. I heard coach Harp on the radio and he said Alcorn got no reps in practice last week before playing SK because of an injury he sufferred during a scrimmage. I think a week of practice and the fact that JK Howard will get snaps at center all week will really improve the Ads offensive Execution. JK was playing center due to the starting center injuring his knee early in the game against SK. From what I saw Lincoln is slow, and if Danville gets quicker execution and blocking there will be a lot of big gains.

Way better, I think Danville's speed will be the main factor in this game. I look for Danville to come back with a good performance and win by as much as they want to. Lincoln does not have the talent and passing ability SK had last week, this will let the Ads focus more on stopping the run and shut Lincoln's offense down.:walk::thumb::sssh:

Yes! Danville did not get tired, they were threatning to win the game with about a minute to go. Danville's main problem was offensive play execution. Too many plays where QB and RB's were not on the same page. If Danville gets that fixed, they will improve and be very good come playoff time. AS for, UK#1Fan, where was your 30 point victory? You guys dropped 2 TD passes, not really, just got your hands on them, poor concentration I guess?:idunno:According to your expectations SK is in trouble the rest of the year.

It's fairly simple. Take I-75 south to Lexington, then follow the traffic signs to get on highway 27 south out of Lexington. You will stay on HWY 27 for approx 40 miles traveling through the town of Lancaster along the way, the school is in Stanford Kentucky. Once you get to Stanford stay straight on HWy 27, the school is a couple of miles past Wal-Mart, it will be on the left turning off HWY 27.

SK, wasn't very impressive last year in the Death Valley Bowl, If they play that way this year, they will leave Lincoln Co. with a spanking! The only thing that concerns me is that that Danville may have some key players out with injuries. I heard that J.K. Howard may not play due to injury, can anyone confirm?

Too bad for Somerset, all good things must come to an end. Before the past 3 years Danville pretty much dominated Somerset for a long period, and it is time to get back to those days!:thumb::dancingpa

Are you already crowning Somerset as district Champs? Danville may have more to say about that. I know Somerset has had their way the past couple of years, but Danville has the majority of their team returning including a strong O and D line.

He may have been the missing piece to the puzzle this year to get them over the top. Tryston Ford was the only player they had this year that had big play capability. Brand would have given them another big play maker and made it harder to shut the offense down. After the Somerset game, I was listening to the Somerset radio post game show and Somerset's coach said they keyed on Ford and were not going to let him have a big game and beat them. If Brand was playing that would not have been possible.

I don't think so, I feel confident that Danville's past Championship teams would have been in the Championship games facing the same competition they have faced the past couple of years, and some of the teams they would have dominated hands down.

Most teams that are good will have D-1 talent. I think it takes both to win championships. Danville just has not had the stand out talent they had in the really good years. But their are some really good talent prospects on the team. One other factor that helps offset talent is dedication in the weight room, Danville football players used to be much more physical than they are now and they took pride in it. I think this is where the coaching staff has failed, they need to motivate the players to take this part of the program developement much more seriously.

Don't know, but he needs to really work on his accuracy and decision making if he is going to be the starting QB.

They have a young quaterback coming up, I think may start next year as a sophmore. I can't remember his name but he looks like he has more quickness and speed than Alcorn has. Danville had a lot of good sophmores this year, if they all get in the weight room and make a comitment then they will be very good next season, if not they will have another decent season like this year.

One thing that could hurt Garrad is all the rain, we have already had close to 2" of rain in Danville, and quite a bit more forecasted for Tuesday and Wednesday. Does Garrad Co. have any tarps for the field? From past history Belfry likes to play in the mud!!!:lol::eek::scared::eyeonyou:
