Danville lost a lot of yards mishandling the football, a result of some low snaps, QB sacks, and to their credit an agressive Frankfort defense coming after the DHS QB.

He gave great effort. Just a hard position to be in at his size and no more playing experience than he has had.:thumb:

Those 2 fumbles deep in their own don't happen and Danville would have been fine tonight.

Yes. He looked fine, But with out much of a passing threat, Frankfort loaded up on the run. Danville still moved the ball well at times.

Good effort ADS, 3 crucial fumbles 2 by Soph QB giving FHS very short fields one on about the 3 and the other about the 13 yard line. Then FHS defense rips another loose and returns it for about 50 yard TD. Danville's defense played fairly well except when Coach Harp was playing those big gaps on the D line with only 3 or 4 down lineman and FHS broke two big plays up the middle. Danville was very limited on offense because starting QB didn't play. Danville really was no threat to throw the ball so FHS just stacked the box and made it hard to run the ball. I still thought the ADS played hard and when they get their injured players back will make a good run in the playoffs.:thumb:

Wasn't what I would call luck, Danville was ahead by I think 15 with about 4 minutes to go, Boyle made some big plays to tie the game with about 1 minute and some seconds left on the clock. Danville took the kick off and on the second play ran an option and Grey took the ball about 78 yards for the score to win the game. Danville played their best game of the year to beat Boyle and will need the same effort to beat Frankfort. The big advantage for Frankfort is Danville will be playing without their starting QB, best lineman, and maybe running back. Frankfort should be the favorite in this game.:isurrender:

Russel County looks to be a big challenge for some team down the line.:scared:

Middlesborro played Danville and Somerset tough, unless the wheels fall off, I would say they have a good chance, If they don't, Danville will be back and probably with one of their better players back from a wrist injury.:clap:

I hope Middlesboro will beat Prestonsburg, so we can get another another home game, that is if Danville can beat Betsy Layne?

The ADS come out more focused and a lot more agressive on defense. If not for the blocked punt and the totaly blown coverage, plus Danville drops a TD pass after a blown coverage in the first quater this could have been a blow out. I Know LCA had something to do with those plays. My point is LCA didn't drive the ball on the ADS much. Most of their drives and points were turnover or penalty aided.

I looked for this out come, I knew Coach French is a good Coach and was probably making big strides in practice. I also thought Mercer's schedule didn't help them much.

IF! and a big IF Danville plays focused and with emotion, DHS 21 LCA 7. If not its a toss up. Getting out of the gate early has been the biggest problem. DHS has been coming out flat and giving up big plays and then has to fight tooth and nail to win. Giving up those big plays early energizes the opponent early and makes the game more difficult than it should be in some cases.:irked:

I didn't actually mean that the Lex Cath QB dominated, But that the offense ran by the 2nd QB dominated BCHS defense. I listened to it on the radio and Lex Cath sounded like they moved the ball at will. Danville's defense in some quaters of the last 3 games has allowed the same kind of thing and is very disapointing to everybody concerned.

After the Danville game is over, I'll pull for the Rebels, I picked them to beat Mercer and think they will handily. But I am Admiral Blue thru and thru and am a lot more emotionaly attached than I should be, its just the way I am wired. I grewup watching Danville, Played for them 4 years and will critisize lack of effort but defend them at the slightest sign of any negatives or challenging comments that are not true Admiral supporters.

Thats your opinion and your entitled to it. Thats usually what people say though when they lose and it bothers them. Boyle County is not the team they have been in the past, their defense is the weakest I have seen from a Boyle team in years. Example Lex. Cath. with second string QB dominates Boyles defense in the second half of that game and loses the district title. When Danville is clicking, which they aren't right now , neither is Boyle I don't think BCHS is better even 6/10 games better. They will have to wait til next year to see if they can better Danville, because one shot a year is all you get.:popcorn:

They may be playing better right now. Danville has been playing way below their ability. If they play focused and with energy, Danville is better thanBCHS already proven this year and would probably beat Mercer. As frustrated as I get with Danville's play, the initial question you asked will bring a response.

Why does it matter? They don't play. If they are then, I guess Boyle can chalk up a loss.

What happened to the starting QB? #6 I think?

I listened on the radio, sounded like the Ads came out slow again and picked it up in the second half. One of the bigger problems tonight was DHS penalized for 104 yards. The Ads have not had a penalty problem this year but had 5 or 6 procedure penalties in the first half killed any offensive rythum. I wasn't there but the Ads defense in the first half was terrible again. Better get it to together next week because LCA put a scare in Somerset tonight.:scared::scared:

Depends on which team shoes up, Focused and energized DHS wins in a blow out. The way the played against SHS could be close.:idunno:

It doesn't take much imagination when the other teams defense is just standing up and getting taken where ever the blocker wants to go. Danville needs to start practicing attack defense instead of react defense, fight off blocks and disrupt plays, not just stand up and get blocked with ease. In the second half some of the line backers got more aggressive and made some plays. They also need to focus on getting 11 men to the ball every play, that should cut down on those ridiculous long TD runs that Somerset ripped off Friday night.

I just read Coach Harp's response to the game in the on line advocate paper. He took most of the blame. Good. Stated some other things going on, O.K., He said he hasn't given up on the team, neither have I and I'm quite sure he could care less what I think. But he has to find a way to light a fire under this team and get them back playing with energy and fire and just maybe they can play well enough to earn a rematch with the Briar Jumpers in the playoffs. I think SHS has to be favored to win it all at this point.

The HC (Harp) can't do it all but come on! In the past I thought assitants might be the problem, but I've come to realize that more is on Harp. Last year at Somerset the ADS started out well. SHS adjusted and stuffed the ADS, but Harp never does anything different, keeps running same plays, no adjustments, Have some imagination the week before the game, He knows how good Somerset D is. Danville's D soft, have some heart, What happened to the team that beat Boyle County? At least in that game they played with emotion and effort.
