Final from Danville. Gutsy effort by what had to be a very emotional Briar Jumper team. Somerset's defense was dominant and the offense simply ran the ball all over the Admirals. Proud to be a Briar Jumper tonight.

 

Somerset is now 5-2 on the season and 1-0 in the district. Danville drops to 5-2 on the season and 0-1 in the district. This was Somerset's 5th win in a row over the Admirals.

Congratulations to the Jumpers,they clearly wanted this one more than the ads did.

The Jumpers played with heart and emotion,and the admirals played with zero emotion.

The Ads got out played and out coached.On a positive note,at halftime our band played great...:walk:

Congrats SHS. I think Coach Harp is Hard headed and limits himself to one thing in his game plan. How can you have 2 weeks to prepare and your team plays that uninspired. Then on the sideline Harp shows no emotion, no time outs to inspire his team, just walks arounf looking at the clip board. He knew he was facing a tough defense but insisted on running the ball and getting stuffed. Its like beating your head on the side walk until it bleeds. That is stubborn. BlueXpress you seem close to the program, What is going on?:idunno:

Coach Harp said they practiced with lite contact. It showed, no agression, getting blocked into the ground or all the way to the sideline, I don't want to hear JK Howard was out and sickness and blah, blah, blah! I actually thought this team had a chance to make it to Bowling Green this year, but now I have serius doubts. Some of Danville's lineman need a boot to the hind end. Its so frustrating to see this type of performance from a team that is so much more capable of what they showed tonight.:madman::madman::madman:

The score is 17-7, DHS has a 3-20,and you run a QB draw:idunno::idunno::idunno: In the 4thQtr 17-7, SHS has a 4th and seven you let #22 get outside and not only get the 1st down, but goes for a 40 yard touchdown? Where is the Cornerback?:idunno: Line Backer?:idunno: With Danville's speed where are the other defesive backs,:idunno: SHS #22 was tough and gritty but by no means a speed demon.:confused:

Will Lange is actually one of the fastest players on the team and ran the 100 meters at the State Track Meet last year.

I need some time to digest this latest load of crap the Ads laid tonight. I will be a better poster tomorrow trust me.
