I've heard that Appelman and Philpot are a couple of really talented young men.

Who says being the best player on a team qualifies anyone for the list? These girls are putting up their numbers against girls that are on the list. Kara Moran from Mason gets no recognition either, but I'd easily take her over some of the Mason girls that do make all the lists.

...if Mason resolves whatever plagued them late season into the post season.

Anything you can share about the Panthers? I know there's a lot of voids to fill, but I don't think the cupboard will be as bare as some think??

Since this is a prediction thread, here's mine: There will be a lot of young men from both teams impact this game besides the two that this thread has primarily been about. Bold prediction, I know.

Agree. Likewise, Maddy Kalb from Bracken, according to KHSAA, averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds with 10 double-doubles last season.

If not for her, odds are, Mason's season ends in the opening round of district play last season against Bracken Co.

Bracken was never at full strength this summer, whether it be from injuries and/or players missing. Other factor was, their coach at the time had one foot out the door. Anticipate a much different looking team come the regular season.

So, you know the details of why "the best man for the job" was "let go?" And what did they get that was coming to them? Appears they had by all accounts a successful season without the "best man for the job."

Agree. Most of the girls have played for him in the past. Coach Ray will wear the title of head coach with a lot of pride and dedication.

Yes he left on his own. Had nothing to do with administration. But I wouldn't say it had nothing to do with parent(singular, not plural) drama.

I'd say Mason is capable of making some noise.

Still puzzling how a couple years ago, one young lady was in a Bath Co uniform in the All A state tourney and literally the very next week was in a GRC uniform.

.....yeah, because he's never depended on a player in the past to put up points in bunches to help with his teams success.
