Sumo, no one is "attacking" anyone. Just as you feel strongly about questioning something such as fouls called in the boys game, I'm simply pointing out something else. It's all good.

Your definition and mine of hatred must be vastly different. To bring attention to the fact that many Mason folks ignored Bracken as a worthy opponent and now, Bourbon, is far from hatred. After all, we're talking about a game that teenagers are participating in. As tired as you are of hearing negative comments, a lot of folks are tired of the arrogance that is required to overlook opponents. Irritated, yes, but hatred? Not even close.

In all seriousness, there is no hatred. Just noting that people wonder why there are always negative comments toward Mason and was just pointing out an example of why.

You mentioned in the Augusta/Mason thread the hatred toward Mason Co. This^post is just one of the many examples of why.-The arrogance of totally ignoring Bourbon. Would think the Bracken game would be evidence enough to know better.

Pretty certain Mason has to play Bourbon first, not Scott.

This^is exactly the perspective that everyone is talking about. It was a foregone conclusion that they were beating Bracken. Here it is now just assuming that they beat Bourbon. Bracken nearly made them pay dearly for that.

Scott could absolutely beat Mason.

The only reasonable solution has to be to have it at the Fieldhouse every year, let them hand pick the officials and the foul count to their liking and then all will be well. Problem solved. :lol2:

If Mason hadn't thought they were so superior to begin with, they would have cried foul after the draw, but since they thought the Lady Bears were just a speed bump, I guess it didn't matter.

Agree with this. Not specific to this thread, but it grows tiring that people alway want to go straight to officiating as blame for a loss, rather than things such as, if we hadn't missed those defensive assignments, hadn't had unforced turnovers, hadn't of missed several free throws, could have adjusted better to their defensive scheme, etc, etc etc. To be clear I am not suggesting calling out players by name for these things, but rather, simply admitting that as a team had we did or not did these things, we may have won the game, but instead, they bypass them and go straight to officiating.

Agree! And as part of that, all indications were, that she was an excellent teammate, which is just as important as the stats that she produced.

Understatement. :thumb: Top 10 team in state, a hair of going home for the season in a game that the Lady Bears weren't predicted to be within 20-30 points . Outrage is definitely an understatement.

Bracken had other players as well that were equally deserving to make the All Region list.

Hats off to the Lady Bears! In a game they were given zero chance of winning, nearly pulled off the upset.

Not suggesting you are doing this, but your post reminds me. When a couple posters of a certain fan base on here make certain comments, don't everyone declare war on the young men and women wearing the uniforms or the entire fan base because of it.

Was thinking Kalb also. I would also say Sidney Shannon from Brossart belongs on the list as well.

As post season nears, I definitely don't envy those who will attempt to make those seniors play their last game as Augusta Panthers.

If most of your prior posts on here didn't expose your lack of knowledge as to what is really going on, then your above comments about Brackens former girls coach, just confirmed it.

...and their statement hold no water on the girls side either.
