  1. Hats of to Ryle. After a brutal and insane amount of games in 3 days, to hang with a very deep and good Eastern team is impressive.
  2. For what it's worth at this late notice, yes, 6:30 tip at Walton Verona.
  3. This is more than likely the result of two teams who know each other very well, have scouted each other well, play good defense and have coaches that do a pretty doggone good job preparing. Enjoy. And thanks for the updates by the way.
  4. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: No offense folks, just having a laugh. Hope you can join me.
  5. 1. Holmes ( 3 ) 30 2. Highlands 25 3. Ryle 22 4. Holy Cross 16 5. Simon Kenton 14 6. Notre Dame 11 7. Campbell County 9 7. Conner 9 9. Newport Catholic 8 10. Walton-Verona 7 Others: Scott 6, Boone County 5, Cooper 2, Beechwood 1
  6. You forgot the other option. The UKfan bug is contagious? :lol2:
  7. Not having Harmeyer definitley hurts SK. I really trust and believe that this is minor. Harmeyer is a great kid with a big future.
  8. Agreed on Glover. Tough to guard without fouling, even for Holmes.
  9. Final from the Salt River Electric Christmas Shootout hosted at Spencer County High School. Walton-Verona Groneck 2 Perry 4 Lehkamp 5 Rodgers 5 Anderson 6 Simpson 19 Ison 28 Bullitt Central A. Graham 15 Leonard 11 Flener 9 Peercy 5 Johns 4 S. Graham 4 Gilbert 4 Congrats to the Bearcats on the win.
  10. Final from Erlanger. To open this game, Lloyd took full advantage of the comfort and confidence of playing at home. Behind some very determined play and blistering shooting, the Juggernauts jumped out to a 14 point lead. During this time, Walton had a few time out's where they had some "discussions" about their sub par energy level and execution. It worked. In the last 4 minutes of the second quarter, the Bearcats erased the 14 point lead to take a 3 point lead into the half. From there, the Bearcats did not look back. Although the Juggs, lead by Behannan and Cheatum, continued to battle, the Bearcats were able to control and get out of Erlanger with a 9 point win. Hats off to the young Juggernauts. They continue to get better and better under Coach Teke. Behannan and Cheatum, a Soph and Junior, will continue to make a huge impact. I am pretty sure that we will be hearing more of those two in NKY. Congrats to the Bearcats on the win.
  11. Do you have any details on this one, or a box score? Anderson shoots to well and definitely plays too fast to only score 33! I am assuming that Shelby was successful in slowing them way down. How did Currens from Anderson do?
  12. I got no problem, other than the negative report BEFORE anything is looked at. I don't think assuming and reporting the worst before you actually know for sure is wise. It is just as fair to assume the best, until she is examined. For now, let's say Hunter is fine and will be back soon!
  13. Big prayers for Hunter this morning. I am going to believe for the best!
  14. If I am doing my math right, that would be 5 threes. You CANNOT let her shoot them. She will light it up.
  15. I have seen different things at random times. Cooper used a box and 1 in the second quarter with Held on Ison, however in doing so, Walton still scored 22 points that quarter. The box and 1 did not account for Simpson, and other perimeter shooters who made Cooper pay in that defense. Simpson had 13 that quarter. I beleive this stresses the point that Tiger 1 made. When Simpson and even others remain consistent, and I fully believe they will, Walton is pretty good. Teams cannot focus defensively all on one person. Another point to make is you cannot defend free throws. Ison is pretty decent at getting to the line and knocking them down. It also helps that in late game situations, when other teams are fouling, she is going to be one that Walton tries to make you foul. I am not taking anything away from the kid, but free throws definitely play a big part. And besides, we still have to play Highlands. I should just tell you that we don't play defense in the 8th, Highlands is free to look right past us. :lol2:
  16. Could not agree more. Walton-Verona desperately needs Simpson. When she plays with energy and the confidence that she is capable of, very good things begin to happen for Walton as a whole. The second quarter last night vs Cooper is a great example. She was a huge factor in Walton breaking out a 14 point lead by the half. I will add, that it will also help as Lehkamp learns to stay out of foul trouble and can stay on the floor more. Last night, not being in foul trouble, she ended up with 8 points, and a bunch of steals. If Walton can start getting that from her consistently on top of Ison and Simpson, that will go a long way also.
  17. Could not find a box score on this one, but from WV twitter updates... Hailey Ison 30 points, 17-20 from the line. Morgan Simpson added 16 including 13 in 2nd quarter. Rachel Lehkamp adds 8. Bearcats move to 5-1
  18. You are 100% incorrect in what I was pointing out or referring to. Talk about someone who needs to let the call and the shot go. That discussion was over yesterday. I just pointed out the inconsistency of your two post. That is all. Though it was funny, and honestly, I think it reveals you are trying to be a pest. The only point I was making is how others choose to communicate with a little more humility.
  19. I'd put Ryle on the list, and probably just a little higher than CC right now. But that's just me, and really, what does it matter.
  20. Sentinel, below is taken from your post #4 on page one. Read it compared to this post, and tell me you are not trying to be a pest.:ohbrother: So who is inconsistent? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: BTW, I talked to an SK parent today. I will just say this...Not all SK folks feel the same way, or even talk about this the same way as you. His exact words were.."That call could have went either way. SK got a break."
