  1. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NASB) 1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. We have seen some of these signs just in the last few days.
  2. I saw her play in a June scrimmage. It was great to see her back on the court! And she looked well over her injury even then. Looked like her old self playing D and hitting threes!
  3. I do not know the day or hour. But I get the sense that it will be very soon. And YES, it is highly possible it will be in my lifetime. I think the greater question is for one to ask themselves is "Am I ready for Christ when he returns to gather those who are His? 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” Matthew 24:30-31 “ Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.” When this happens, it will be in a flash, there will be no time to get ready. Trust Jesus Christ with all your heart, give your life to Him, and invite Him in your life as Lord and Savior, and you will be ready! :thumb:
  4. Grace and peace to you my man. My wife says the same thing sometimes. :lol2:
  5. To those people that said..."what is wrong with same sex wanting to get married? It does not effect you." Well, here is your first answer in real life. The loss of religious liberty. There is no longer a right to follow your heart and convictions, and LIVE OUT your faith and religion? That does effect me and countless born again Christians that have a heart to follow God and honor him. I never thought I would live to see the day in America where a Christian is so persecuted, possibly put in jail, and even given death threats for manifesting their faith. Well here we are. On the heels of the supreme court ruling, religious liberties are sucked away. Have a nice day all...Lord bless you! I have to go to work.
  6. That was simply a list or description of what religious rights would look like. It is not exhaustive meaning it is not limited to these examples. I thought it captured idea of what religious liberty looks like. As for your answer, the first amendment works quite well. The first amendment preserves our freedom for each person to follow his own conscience, and gives us the right to exercise our religion as conviction and conscience dictate. What is crazy about this situation and some of the other comments is this... HER RIGHT TO HER RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS IS NOT PREVENTING TWO MEN FROM GETTING MARRIED. Let that sink in. Her constitutional right to exercise her convictions and conscience IS NOT hindering these two fellows from their right. No matter how much one hates her and wants her dead and gone, she has a right to religious convictions and the manifestations there of.
  7. That is easy..... Her religious liberty is not lost as an elected official....no matter if it was burka, hijab, budha, or whatever. Every person has the right to determine his or her own faith and creed according to conscience. Every person has the right to the privacy of his belief, to express his religious beliefs in worship, teaching, and practice, and to proclaim the implications of his beliefs for relationships in a social or political community. Every person has the right to associate with others and to organize with them for religious purposes. Every religious organization, formed or maintained by action in accordance with the rights of individual persons, has the right to determine its policies and practices for the accomplishment of its chosen purposes, which implies the right: to assemble for unhindered private or public worship to formulate its own creed to have an adequate ministry to determine its conditions of membership to give religious instruction to its youth, including preparation for ministry to preach its message publicly to receive into its membership those who desire to join it to carry on social services and to engage in missionary activity both at home and abroad to organize local congregations to publish and circulate religious literature to control the means necessary to its mission and to secure support for its work at home and abroad to cooperate and to unite with other believers at home and abroad to use the language of the people in worship and in religious instruction to determine freely the qualifications for professional leadership of religious communities, freely naming their religious leaders at all levels and designating their work assignments. Religious Freedom
  8. Here. Here. :idunno: I understand perfectly well.
  9. It is spot on. If you desire someone to lose their job because of who they are and what they believe, that would be discrimination. Her rights remain as an elected official. Her rights remain even with the SCOTUS ruling. Her rights remain even if it cost millions. Her rights remain even if some folks don't like it.
  10. Ok. So now we are going to discriminate in the work place, push her out for her religious beliefs, and tell her to get a new job. Interesting. Please note. One does not lose constitutional rights once they become an elected official. She still has her rights. Those rights cannot be taken away or discriminated against because you don't like how she thinks, or what she wears or what she looks like, or how she worships. Again, elected officials still have the same rights as unelected officials. It is not her fault the SCOTUS made a ruling that contradicts other constitutional rights.
  11. It seems there is a lot of bigotry and hatred in this thread with peoples comment and with some folks making fun of someone who doesn't believe like them. The double standard is disgusting. I see her no different fighting for her right to not have to sign something she doesn't believe in. She is not trying to stop those two men from marrying each other. She is only fighting for her right to not have to sign something she cannot believe in. There is NO DIFFERENCE between her fighting for her right, the same as the two men are fighting for their right. YET many choose to spit venom to her and it is a DOUBLE STANDARD. I will stand in the quiet majority on this. If anyone is proud of two men fighting to get married, standing up for their so called right, not being deterred and bullied, then we can be just the same, proud of her for standing up for what she believes in. She made it clear...she cannot put her name on a marriage certificate with two of the same sex. She has a right to religious liberty, and those rights do not go away just because she is an elected official. Those two fellows can still get hitched if they want to, she is not stopping them. She is just standing for her religious liberty....so good for her. Now let's stop being prejudice, middle schoolers and stop making fun of her. What if I started making fun of Bill and Bob getting married? Many of you would call me some choice names. To me, the shoe is on the other foot, and it is something what comes out of those who have been preaching acceptance and the such so much.
  12. Holy Cross answers with a drive of their own. HC 21. WV 14
  13. Bearcats take opening drive 90 yards and cap it with a two yard td run. Pat good. Tied 14 -14
  14. Halftime. Holy Cross up 14-7. Holy cross went up 14-0 in the second with a pic six by 21 (I think) Walton breaks a 78 yard run to get in the redzone with under a minute before half. They complete a fake field goal on 4th down to convert for a first which leads to about a 10 yard td pass with 2 sec on the clock. Pat good. Should be a good second half.
  15. I would put the top three in this order for preseason. 1. Campbell County 2. Mason County 3. Scott I give Campbell just a little (razor) edge because I love the way they played defense the last couple of times I saw them play.
  16. If you consider 0 for 35 to be probable, may I suggest you stay away from the casino. :thumb:
  17. Great job Walton Verona! And congratulations to Angel, Grace, and Hailey.
  18. That list is big time for sure! Kid is going to need wisdom with all of those choices! God bless her.
  19. Perhaps I have missed it, but does anyone know who has been hired to fill the open coaching position since Coach Merkely has stepped down?
  20. Congrats Payton! Very proud of that kid and very happy she is able to pursue her dreams and get a great education!
  21. I guess I didn't notice his after I was stuck on Rubio's. Now I can look forward to the next debate.
