Wednesday night at the 32nd District Championship, at match point, the Outside Hitter from Simon Kenton went down and was in severe pain (possible ACL). Instead of celebrating their first district championship in 5 years the entire Walton Verona team and joined hands with the Simon Kenton team in prayer. It strikes me that sometimes we parents need to reflect on what high school and youth sports are all about ... we can learn some amazing lessons from wonderful and caring girls like these.

Congratulations to Conner on a solid tournament

Walton Verona finished up the regular season last night with a win over Gallatin County 2-0 (25-14 25-14). The Bearcats finished the regular season 26-9 setting a school record. The previous record was 22 wins. Congratulations to Seniors, Hailey Ison, Paige Sterling and Emma Rodgers for a great season. Now on to Districts!

Yes she is a senior and her name is Nicole Bruce

Congratulations to Highlands they had a great tournament. Does anyone have the final results of the tournament and a list of the all tournament team. I can't find it online.

NDA 3-0. Ryle doesn't get to 20 in any set

Without Metzger and Long, Dixie would really be in a tough situation. They both are terrific players.

I wasn't at the match, but I from what I hear both teams struggled with way too many errors. Still a good win for WV which is off to its best start in school history.

I agree Rebecca is a very good player. I have enjoyed watching her for many years.

Having Angel Wilson and Grace Wallace playing together at Walton Verona seems to have made a big difference. The Bearcats are off to their best start in years 9-2.
