  1. I assume you are referring to the 14-15 season. Correct? If so, I got no problem with that.
  2. Here is the answer to the thread title. NO...HC has not made the ALL A meaningless. To those who don't care about it, don't play in it, make fun of it, or think it is broken...nothing changes. You already thought it is meaningless. To those who look forward to it, play in it, enjoy it, attend it, follow it, and think it works just fine....nothing changes with Holy Cross at all. Next year we will think it is just as meaningful as it was before. All I am saying is...nothing changes.
  3. Holy Cross took it to another level that later part of the season, that is for sure. I loved their business like, confident and methodic approach they seemed to have through the tournament. Congratulations to the players coaches, staff, school and community!!! STATE! CHAMPS! :ylsuper: :dancingpa
  4. Well said. And congrats to the Lady Pioneers. Hope they represent the 8th well and get as far as they can.
  5. It appears that rebounding was a big difference, if not the difference in this game. GRC +18 in rebounds. Out of the 38 rebounds, I wonder how many of those were offensive?
  6. Congratulations to Trimble County on a great winning season, winning their district and getting to regionals. They made their community proud for sure. I was so impressed with crowd/mob of raider fans in attendance. Their side was packed full. When Clifford hit their first bucket, I thought the roof was coming off. I love the small schools because of the community support they get. Honestly, I think it's one thing many big schools seem to miss. Hopefully the pain of the loss wears off and they can be proud of what they accomplished.
  7. W.-VERONA 11-13-12-22–58 GALLATIN 9-11-10-18–48 WALTON-VERONA (16-13): Ison 3 11 17, Mills 4 0 11, Rodgers 3 0 9, Simpson 2 4 8, Lehkamp 2 2 6, Beckham 1 5 7. Totals: 15 22 58. GALLATIN COUNTY (19-9): Dossett 4 7 15, Bowen 7 2 18, Wesley 0 1 1, Sullivan 4 0 8, Terrell 2 0 4, Wainscott 0 2 2. Totals: 17 12 48. 3-pointers: WV–Rodgers 3, Mills 3. GC–Bowen 2. A couple of players that I thought played very well and made big timely shots for both teams.... Rodgers - Three 3's - One at the end of the first that gave Walton the lead at the buzzer. Lehkamp - a freshmen that has seen limited minutes, but was composed when needed. Hit a couple of timely jumpers and 2 free throws down the stretch. Sullivan for Gallatin - She carried Gallatin early in this one nailing about every open jumper she was given. Also...Emma Rodgers and Lehkamp did a tremendous job limiting Dossett's clean three attempts.
  8. National newspapers...onceuponatime. Some folks can justify about anything. A dude took a unnecessary shot at a very accomplished athlete. End of story. No papers. No money. No articles to sell. NOTHING. Just kick someone when their down. At least papers and media get paid for this. I guess some folks do it for nothing. True Colors.
  9. Some folks on here never cease to amaze me. Please remember story time. The seeds you sow in your garden will be the fruit you get someday.
  10. I got ya...I was only wondering cause the timing of it struck me a little funny that's all. I do hope your wrong though on the Simon/Shelby thing!
  11. First off, yes, Anderson won the 8th last year. They also had McKee (Morehead St) in addition to Cann. After watching them last night, no they are not the same team as last year for sure, but they are scrappy and don't quit. I would say they have a shot. Why not? After how they snuck through last night, geez, anything can happen. And they beat Shelby once this year proving they can beat them if they ended up meeting them in the final. They are two games away....which is close and very, very far away at the same time. I am sure right now, all they are worried about is WV.
  12. I can't help but snicker a little. You are probably correct, but I can't help but wonder if you felt the same way yesterday morning.
  13. Congratulations to Gallatin County on a great season. They have nothing to hang their heads about! They still achieved more this year than what most thought they would! Also congrats to Senior Hannah Dossett on a tremendous career. I mean this as a compliment...as a WV fan, I am sure glad we will no longer have to contend with her. Heckuva athlete! Congrats to WV on finding a way to win and advance. It is never going to look pretty or easy against a team that knows you so well and is determined to make things tough, but as a team, they got it done.
  14. Congrats to Highlands on advancing! It is never an easy win over Boone teams in regional play.
  15. Tough to rank Walton, Gallatin and Trimble against each other. Gallatin and Walton split one a piece head to head. Trimble and Walton split one a piece head to head. Trimble beat Gallatin twice. You can't really use records because Walton has played a bit more difficult schedule than either one. At this point, rankings are out the window anyway. It will be interesting to see where Anderson fits in with these three as they have not played any of them this season.
  16. Well, here's hoping for enough broadband! :thumb: You all do a great job!
  17. I would have to agree with all the above. When I think of 5th region, obviously I think of Etown, as everyone does right now. However, I can't help but notice that the records of four other teams in that region is pretty stinkin' good. Wow!
  18. Any of the four could come out of the top group. Likely, it will come down to Simon and Shelby on the bottom group. I am sure Shelby will be looking forward to that rematch. Obviously they are not the same team they were in their game one loss to SK.
  19. blind draw...like it is every year. District champ plays a district runner up. Teams from the same district are put on opposite sides.
  20. Wow! The Ryle vs Holmes first round game is crazy. That will definitely be the most anticipated and hyped of the first round match ups. After all the season and hype, could it be that Holmes is done in round 1 of regionals? Ryle is capable of making that happen.
