I marvel at these schools ability to evaluate talent, then to evaluate it that early and are able to project that a kid can make their roster always amazes me. It would seem their is too much room for error offering that early. And any kid that thinks that early offer will be binding is sadly mistaken.

I believe NCC kept a couple of kids at home.

All A tourney game. Non-descript game. HC jumped out to early lead. Twins got in foul trouble, sat most of 2nd quarter and still maintained lead. HC made their free throws while St Henry shot horrendously from the line. Neither team made many outside shots. HC penetrated better and made some nice inside shots, St Henry did not. Still, St Henry cut it to 2 with 3 or 4 minutes to play. However, turnovers, couple of clutch HC shots and free throws on both ends doomed them. Game over.

Why? Do they need him? Has he strung together dominating performances that says he should move up? Big rosters for Frosh and JV, do you really see a lot of upward movement or is this just wishful thinking?

Like it or not, there is more mention of these girls on this forum than in a daily newspaper. This is how I keep up with local sports. An infrequent box score in the Enquirer does not tell you a teams whole story. Tell it folks!

Serious question, did the D1 guys have better high school careers? That is all that matters. Some guys play out of position in HS and don't fully bloom til college. Not familiar with 10th region, which is why I ask.

In some cases you have a strong alumni base that follows their school with a passion, Cov Cath, NCC, Highlands, Beechwood, etc. Others, you have sheer numbers following them, Ryle, Cooper, Simon Kenton. Then, you have the Holmes crew, by virtue of being good, everyone wants to know what is happening with them. If a school gets a great player, the interest will follow. If you don't have any of these qualities, the interest is not there. My take...BTW, Boone County will soon fall into a lesser followed team, based on redistricting. More probably follow Ryle Cooper or Conner now than 5-10 years ago. (Obviously Cooper is new)

Devil's advocate here, did Barker really have the best season of all the qb's in NKY? Talent wise, he may be the best but what you say? What about Burchell? I thought he missed a bunch of games due to injury. Talented, but did he have the best year? Discuss.

The number of rides given to KY FB players is lowwww. This is huge! The kid, his parents, the school and NKY should all be proud! Congrats!

Here's the issue, if you are preparing kids for high school, you better be playing more than 5 guys and winning may not be the primary goal. Some of your A players may not play that sport at the next level because they are forced to choose one sport over another. So, you need to keep developing all kids.

You know, this is the 2nd time in a couple of weeks I've read about a coach getting ejected from a high school game. This does not happpen in college or pro's, yet we allow these clowns to teach our kids. PS, don't really care the circumstances. If the head coach can't keep his composure, how can you expect the kids to keep theirs?
