Hard to compete with Moeller. They pay better. -

So, in another thread I mocked a guy for extolling the virtues of his 2nd grade "AAU" team. Where do you guys come in on this topic? -

Good thought. This is where parents get unrealistic expectations of how good Jimmy is. Newsflash, he's 5'10 and there are a million kids bigger and quicker. -

GT, I think you and I may be closer in thought than you think. -

There are so many levels to this. You have a dad who organizes a team for Jimmy vs a program. Each has it's own plusses and minuses. The parents who put their kids on teams can't even tell the difference between what is a glorified rec team and a true program. The whole process has been watered down and most are about putting together teams in tournmanets and playing a lot of games versus development. -

Compare to international soccer, philosophy of development is to practice more and play less at lowerl evels. It's all skill development, not trophies. -

Sorry PP, I assumed that was the case. My point was that their way is doing it right vs just running thru plays. -

This is the key. Is the team doing on-on-one instructional or are they just running through plays and defenses for their assembled all star team? -
Kentucky plane crash kills 4; 7 year-old lone survivor

You can't get me up in one of these little planes. One gust of wind and boom. You wonder about people who think they can take a few lessons and think they are ready to fly their own plane. Not saying the case here but these accidents happen far too often. -

I think they are missing some toughness that Schult and Heppler provided. Schult got a lot of clean-up points over the last two years. Tough to replace, played bigger than he was. Will hurt them against bigger teams down the road. -

I prefer a roll of the dice, like at Turfway when two people try to claim the same horse. It's bad enough people spend money to win elections, but to win a law enforcement election, some with no prior experience/qualifications, is ridiculous. Yet, they win on name recognition which means more here in Stepford than what you actually stand for. Aww, he's a good guy. I know him from the club. I'm voting for him.

If you don't know any better, LaRosa's may be an option. If you have had good pizza before, then I recommend passing on LaRosa's. I would not feed that to my dog.

Hit Newport Pizza last night. Had the Monmouth. Ham, sausage, peppers, mozz, good. Love their pizza.

Best chicken wings in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati
kyyank replied to Blue Magic's topic in BGP Break Room
Just having some fun, used to live on the trail meself. I wouldn't call the parents stupid. You run a business, decisions you make affect whether people will come in your door. Certain cultures only like certain numbers (lucky) or colors. If you are looking to attract that culture, you're going to be sure not to offend that culture. Heck of a lot of churches on Old Taylor Mill. You think a lot of the congregations are beating their door down. Heck of a lot of folks who don't think it's an appropriate name. Just saying. -

As childish as the name. I'm sure there are parents who skip this place so they don't have to explain the name to their kids. Plenty of other options for wings without having to hit a place on the historic S Kenton Redneck Trail. -

Man that owner must think he's Jeff Foxworthy clever with that name. Won't eat there because of the name alone. -
I got them as a gift. Brother in law had guy help pick them out. Some R&J's, which I like, stuffed with Quorums, which I thought I would not like but were not bad. Oliva and Joya De Nicaragua's been smoking a lot. Smoked a Fonseca recently for first time. Liked a lot.

Got a sampler from Strauss. Had a Julius Caesar, made by Diamond Crown, terrible. Bask to an Oliva to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
