SK beat Oldham handily,So you don't think they play pressure defense? How would you breakdown the Oldham loss to SK? Weak schedule ? Not prepared or You just dont have a stinking clue? I would go with the latter of 3 options in your case! Tonight the Braves Did not play defense the way they normally play, They were a half step slow and looked still dead legged from the Friday night game with SK. Shots were short all night long and they shot a bad percentage. Oldham was more aggressive on the boards and took control of the game period. Congrats to Oldham Co.

At least W-town isn't making excuses about their best player being out or GC playing stall ball or the officiating was bad. Oh and BTW I saw that same stall ball offense from GC last night. They must have felt they couldn't run with Williamstown. And Yes Greatness it was a nice win, to be able to advance to the Region. Most reasonable basketball enthusiast knew what you meant.

Congrats to Grant Co. Basketball coach Jim Hicks on being named 8th Region KABC Coach Of The Year!

Looking at Anderson's schedule I see a lot of similarity with the Grant Co. schedule. They have played 7 common opponents. Garrard Co.,Walton Verona, Beechwood, Bracken Co., Gallatin Co., Owen Co. and Berea. There were 2 other common opponents that cancelled their Grant Co. game which were Carroll Co. and Spencer Co. So to say that Grant County doesn't have many "QUALITY" wins is like the pot calling the kettle black! Anderson did beat Collins so that is 1 quality win. They also beat Owen so I'll give you 1 for that since Grant lost at Owen by 6. Now Anderson lost to Shelby Co. which is near the bottom of the Regional standings, they also lost to Mercer who is middle of the pack in the 12th and they only beat Rockcastle by 2 and near the bottom in the 12th with a 7-20 record. Now by you own admission Grant has 2 quality wins over Simon Kenton, so I don't think Anderson Co. has distanced themselves from the majority of the 8th region. It is a known fact that only 1 team will come out of the 8th region on top and this year there are several teams that could claim the top spot. So I wouldn't toot that horn too loud! What I think doesn't matter but regardless of the outcome for Grant Co. this year I'll take the boys from Dry Ridge over ANYBODY in the 8th region!

Owen beat Grant at Owen. Maybe they will meet in the region if they both make it,that will end the question.

Grant Co. goes 8 deep not 10. they are 7th in the State in team defense allowing 48.2 points per game. They are physical and do foul a lot but so does everyone else. No the entire region doesn't play that way. Again as I have stated in other threads, Maybe Grant County is better than everyone thinks.
