  1. Garrard will be a tough out for teams this year. Good luck on a successful season!
  2. Coach told me I would have been fired had I been sitting on the bench after the scouting report I gave him:D
  3. I do think they are under rated but at this time of year ratings don't mean too much.
  4. I respect your opinion PP, but after watching both play Friday night and Saturday, Garrard Co is NOT Collins or Harrison Co. not even close.
  5. Grant has looked pretty good in both scrimmages vs Collins and Harrison Co. They are undersized but Garrard Co. is not a matchup problem. The size is very compariable. Garrard was not very impressive vs Nelson Co. Friday night. It will be a good matchup between Austin Sebastian and Tyler Carr. Braves by 15+ .
  6. I agree with your assessment, Gallatin was cruising until Jon emptied his bench. Thats when Pendleton made their comeback. I have no dog in this fight but Gallatin wins easy had it been straight up game. Morgan gets to the rim when he wants and did a good job on Monroe who was a non factor.
  7. My son went. He said Wiggins was not the best player on the floor, but he was a stud.
  8. Bellevue vs Augusta @ 2:00 pm Gallatin County vs Pendleton County @ 4:00 pm Grant County vs Harrison County @6:00 pm
  9. They will be bigger than they were last year, Hicks and Saylor go 6'4" and 6'5" along with Reed at 6'4". Rebounding will be the key for this team as they will have to replace the production on the boards of Hunt,Coleman and Hurley. As far as scoring, this team has more kids able to put the ball in the hole and will have more options offensively. Johnson is a solid point guard and a good defender and doesn't turn the ball over. Cummins can fill it up and has good quickness. I think this team can compete with SK in the 32nd and I think they believe they can compete with SK.
  10. Tax payers create the funding that allow the state to pay the salaries! And yes they do have to answer to the taxpayers. School board members are put in place by the voting taxpayers, the superintendent answers to the school board, the principal answers to the superintendent. So YES GCHS Administration is a joke and the parents, taxpayers or voters need to take a stand and make a change.
  11. You need to remember who pays the salaries! I don't disagree about finding the right man for the job but come on, Do you really believe that? Taxpayers ie Parents have every right to know whats going on. With that mentality its no wonder the school is in the shape its in!:madman:
  12. Indeed! The paper also stated that his son worked with MKG and Anthony Davis on their strength and conditioning, isn't Rock Oliver the strength Coach at UK? Seems like even the local media is trying to build up his resume.
  13. I think you're pretty accurate in your assessment!
  14. That's funny, he attended a booster meeting at Grant last night and went over the summer workout schedule with the parents.
  15. Straight from the horse's mouth.
  16. He is staying at Grant. Just a rumor.
  17. Just stating facts my man! Everyone wants to beat around the bush and ask why this and why that. People want to make assumptions as to why things happen, I'm just telling you why they happen. Have a great day!
  18. No I am not talking about coach Kinmon. So much has been made about how "when this group were freshmen." So did their freshmen coach. Why?
  19. [quote=Way2serious;431226 7]Maybe Coach Hicks has realized how difficult it is to win in Grant County. The only team sport that has had consistent success for the last 10 years is Fast Pitch Softball and a lot of that can be contributed to the fact that the coach of the girls Fast Pitch team dumps a ton of his own money into the program. Also, i would argue his best class should have been this year's seniors. However, they all quit over the last 2 years. When this group of seniors were Freshman they went 17-3 and beat Boone County once and lost to them once by 4 points. Boone wins the 9th and Grant has 2 players left from that team???? Yes you're exactly right! The players that left did exactly what they were taught when they were Frosh. They quit just like their coach when things didn't go his way! Its not wrong to ask kids to show up every day and work hard! In no way is it Coach Hicks fault they didn't want to work and earn their playing time. And BTW he's not leaving Grant Co.
  20. Usually 630 AM WLAP in Lexington does, Not sure about this year.
