  1. It's only offensive to older blacks. My generation somehow flipped it into a term of endearment. If the coach was a good role model, he would put an end to that. As I said previously, many young urban blacks use it. But a good mentor would know that it just isn't a proper word to use and would totally discourage it. The coach should, in the least, tell the boys he doesn't want to hear it in his gyms or on his team. He should tell them the block and the 'hood have their own patois, as does my basketball team. BTW, do you care if I refer to your son as Dugan Fife?
  2. Having said that, so if I am in your house and we are drinking or playing cards; shooting dice or whatever, and your better half mistakenly comes out of the shower half-naked or walks by us scantily clad (because she doesn't know I am there), would you be mad if I took a glance at her, or would you expect me to know my role and mind my manners? Hiphop music was supposed to be about the streets, life and the struggle of the inner city blacks. It was never meant for mass consumption. The hip hop artist was rapping/talking about life experience over a beat. When white music label owners got hold of it, they realized the power in those words and made profits of it. Rap music was made for mass consumption. Many of you probably didn't know there is a significant difference between rap and hip hop. Hip hop tells you about life; rap music tells you about the rapper's excesses. (cars, clothes, jewelry, etc.)
  3. It's kind of like employment contracts - there are always one sided to the employer. The bureacracy always wins. The kids/players are expected to show some loyalty, but when Johnny who runs a 4.37 transfers in, he will get top billing over Larry whom runs a 4.7 and has been an ardent and loyal supporter of the coach and his program for years. But I do see your point.
  4. Man I was head turning and everything. I was in awe. My girl has a pretty decent job and footed most of the bill.
  5. The crux of my angst is that you are naive. All these what if's make no sense. Why should he be punished. He is a kid, whether he is 17 or a legal adult at 18, he is still a high schooler. It is what it is. Many, not all, but many men look at sexual conquests as "scoring". The sexual revolution has allowed women to do so as well. Keep It Real already told you. There is a good chance your son is no different. If he has hot female teachers, he fantasizes about them and will try to score if he is audacious and sly enough, and the teacher is sending off that type of energy. Everytime this subject comes up, I am surprised by the naivete of many posters. I'm sorry, I don't live in Pleasantville. Your two black roommates never used the "N" word (in front of you); your son doesn't think of sex (who can around their mom). I mean seriously, why don't the holier than thou posters start BGP2- The June Cleaver edition. Jeez. High school boys have sex, even ones that go to parochial schools. The students will never be punished because they have a built in out clause - the teacher told me I would fail the class; semester; year, etc. It's a no lose situation for a student, so why be mad that they have an advantage. You cannot lose if you don't play the game.
  6. Fresh off of vacation, and I come back to this madness? I could've kept my black arse Turks and Caicos. But my girl was getting jealous. Too much reckless eyeballing of the local hot chicks by myself. But I digress. 1.First off the title of this thread makes me wonder does the threadstarter want to use the word and wodners why he cannot get away with it. I'm just wondering. No offense, because I don't know you, champ. 2. I don't care if the suffix is "er" or "a", there is no need for whites to use the word. I used to as a young man, but I grew out of it. Back then, my teeth were sparkling white. LOL 3. I was walking out of a Wal-mart in Canal Winchester, OH back in 2003; a hip hop white guy was walking in with his black friend. I heard the white guy say the word; I said to the black friend, "Damn, you let him talk like that to you." The white kid called me an "old nigga" and said shut up. I beat the dog sh*t out of that kid. Gave him a 37 second reality check. Had to be 16-20 years old. 4. Quoting a song title is no excuse. GP knew better. 5. You'd be surprised at how many white high school football coaches, at an inner city school, have used the word in some form or fashion to tell their black players not to. It is sickening. It's like, "Wow coach, you using it doesn't make it any better. Could care less if you are trying to get them to stop. No need to hear it come off your tongue." Just makes you wonder what these coaches were saying in their private moments aout these kids. 6. The word is used by inner city youths, mainly. It's their patois; vernacular. But please watch the video and I believe this rapper, KRS-ONE, explains the use of the word so effortlessly, so flawlessly and so elegantly. @:57 will explain Rockmom's roomies.
  7. 85 Bears Fan does not mean that I am from Chicago or anything like that. I was 8-9 years old and the Super Bowl Shuffle was the first rap song I knew all the words to. I loved Mike Richardson's; Richard Dent's; Mike Singletary's; and Steve Fuller's; and Gary Fencik's parts. But in my formative years or just before them, the 85 Bears were the best team I'd ever seen. Then Dallas came along. I think the 90s Cowboys would edge the 85 Bears because of Michael Irvin. So my new name would be 92CowboysFan
  8. Trayvon Martin Case: Zimmerman's Credibility an Issue | Fox News Latino Zimmerman's lying at the bail hearing, may or may not be admissible, it is up to the judge.
  9. You have read my posts and concluded that you are a fan and always wanted to reply to my posts. I asked a question, homeboy.
  10. Let the evidence take its course PP92. (I say that facetiously). But yes, we see Zimmerman is not honest. So if he will lie at a bail hearing, probably under some type of oath - with a national audience watching or at least paying attention, then why not lie to cops and 9-1-1 when you are not under oath, when nobody is watching, after you just took an arse whipping to a skinny boy, so you shot him.
  11. I disagree. The score is what it is because faster, stronger and better coached teams tend to win by 30 or more.
  12. If you ask me, it probably has been going on a lot longer than we would care to know. There are so many more media outlets and devious people. Once again, I ask, who was the whistleblower? Faculty? A jealous student? A concerned student? An ex of either the student or the teacher? I'm sure men teachers have been doing this longer and probably more often than female teachers. But who knows. The whole thing is careless on the adults ends. You know teenagers can't keep a sceret, male or female. And having been a boy, the first thing I used to do was tell the homies about my most recent "session". Older people are generally flattered by a younger person being attracted to them.
  13. Well, just because he is 18, doesn't make him a man. He is just of legal age. Sounds like the kind of guy I would have hung out with in high school. I hung with the guys who were jocks, and or were having sex with the sexually active girls in the high school. But now that I think about it, apparently the teacher was putting signs out there that she was the tyoe of teacher to have sex with students. Or else, why would they bet on whom would get the goods? I can name one teacher that I had in grades 7-12 that seems as if she would do something like that. The rest I could not imagine doing something like that, although some were smoking hot. So why place a bet on something like that, unless you either have money to lose or you have a strong feeling.
  14. Can't do that. Students have an automatic out clause. "He/she told me if I didn't then I would fail the class." What judge/jury is going to vote against a high school student who says that, regardless if they are 18-19 or younger? In fact, a vigilant principal/teaching staff would recognize warning signs and do everything to prevent inappropriate behavior by the teacher.
  15. I see what you are saying, but we are at that point of again of a double standard because there are two entities with two different trains of thought on what is acceptable from both.
  16. Do I even need to post in this thread. The teacher is an idiot for falling for a student like that. The boy won a bet. I'm never for betting on fibbing on my junk, but the kid has gaul.
  17. The Wire Martin Sopranos As a kid: Cosby Show Dream On Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling
  18. I wanna know is Obama even a real person? Where do you find black kids who grow up in Hawaii with their white grandparents. Has no siblings that share a parent other than his white mom, and none are 100 percent white. Says a lot about what mom thought of Obama's grandpa.
  19. I missed it and I am pretty upset that I did. But, if you ask me, this movie is long overdue. Has the story ever been told before on tv/film? Was the mini-series on the History Channel done well?
  20. Brother I don't know. But what I do know is they were found in a hotbtub wearing Rolex's and joined in the hottub by a known game fixer and other mobsters and Richard Perry whom was a low budget Frank Rosenthal b.k.a. Sam "Ace" Rothstein from "Casino" So as they say, "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's a darn duck. Or "I can pour syrup on ppo, but it won't taste like pancakes" Or, "If I tell you a duck can pull a truck, then shut the heck up and hook up the duck."
  21. Not sure if the Fab Five was a 30 for 30 or a stand alone documentary. But nonetheless it was good. But I thought the UNLV one on HBO was a little better. I feel on the MJ suspension/retirement. I thought the recently released Magic Johnson was really good as well.
  22. Let me get a top 5. If you want give reasons: 1. The U. I could listen to Michael Irvin talk about football and partying all night. 2. Pony Excess. Eric Dickerson did it BIG 3. Who Killed the USFL - Donald Trump, what else do you need 4. Todd Marinvovich - I was never mad at Marv; 5, Jimmy the Greek. Man fired for speaking the truth. PC back in the 80s.
  23. A priest and a rabbi are at a wedding. A 10 year old boy is bent over in front of them tying his shoes. Priest says, "I'd like to screw him." Rabbi says, "Out of what?"
