  1. Which they would be in the money for a long time on talent alone in 3A:clap::laugh:
  2. I'm not saying it's wrong or right. I just wouldn't do it. Too damaging to the body is football.
  3. Sad, disgusting and true. I know a middle school coach in Fayette County that is preparing spring practice for his middle schools as I type.:madman:
  4. nice good for him...I know his family. I'm proud of him and they are as well.
  5. Do I live with my wife, are you your dad's son? What type of question is that. We live in Sparta. Come visit sometime and we will go to Belterra, my treat. I guess I couldn't have come from Covington, graduated from CC in 1990. Nope. Just some yahoo posting on here, right!
  6. Not for anonymous beef. I mean what I say. I specialize in calling bluffs. If you are going to sell wolf tickets, I'll take all of them. Read the thread. I'm not the only guy who finds Stevie "Larry Brown" Lickert to be a very average coach. I'm just going on what I read, as I follow the Enquirer, Herald Leader and Courier Journal very closely since my wife is an editor at the LCJ. Sorry, didn't mean to hurt the feelings of the guy's followers.
  7. You are right. I did confuse Ryle's schedule as the one that is posted. But the Trinity coach has not beaten Cin. St. X in two years and is now playing them along with Indy Cathedral and Moeller and Elder. Jeez. Dude is Rex Ryan. I would love to see what his record turns out to be. I see minimal four losses just from the out of town teams. Ryle playing Colerain...say 55-6 whipping early. Ryle won't know what hit them until the end of the third quarter.
  8. Try several people. Look, I'm not for anonymous e-beef. You can say what you want, I can do the same. Wasn't a coach or a former coach that said these things. It was several teachers and parents. What job was Lickert doing sufficiently, getting blown out by quality foes such as Dixie and others. And who is to consider Dixie quality.
  9. This dude is overscheduling. No way in the world I schedule the Cincinnati's GCL and Indy Cathedral. These are national powers. Who is this coach and who does he think he is. The Cincy teams usually don't play more than one of the GCL, Colerain did two seasons ago and missed the playoffs because they couldn't get the wins.
  10. "Rather be feared than loved because the fear last longer" Sonny from A Bronx Tale Players always like assistants, but not all assistants make good head coaches. My source says he is alright, but not head coaching material.
  11. Lickert class, I've heard nothing but the opposite. Truthfully. Never met the guy, just repeating second hand information as everyone else does on this site as it is anonymous and nobody really wants people to know whom they are. My nephew attends Campbell and in two years will be a 10th-grader and I hope this Lickert is nowhere near what I have heard. From all I hear, there is no middle ground with Lickert. Most find the guy to arrogant and self-serving, some find him to be a caring young leader. I'll wait and see.
  12. Why him? What's so special about him? Never met the guy, but I saw his name in another thread when the job opened.
  13. 1. It's safe to say that the assistants are not really appealing or applying for that matter, or else the hire would have been made by now if any of them were worthy. 2. Is Holmes one of those jobs that needs a minority coach to be a worthwhile team? Look at Central in Louisville. A perennial power in Class 3A. I know Holmes is 5A again and have to get through Highlands and CovCath, but they can't even lose respectably (if even possible) Does Holmes have a worthy minority candidate either on staff or that has applied from outside the district.
  14. From what I understand, a reliable source tells me Lickert's work at Holmes was charity because he looked at them at hapless, wayward urchin. The guy's record speaks for itself. Cinn. Withrow is an inner city school with the same population as Holmes, or even worse because it's Cincinnati. Holmes couldn't come within two touchdowns to a bad Withrow team. Lickert is grossly overrated.
  15. Why do you say that? What do they have in the cupboard to make some runs at state.
  16. Where the teams to watch? The teams that are sitting on talent and facilities and coaching and are poised to have a run on success in the next few years. 1. Bryan Station 2. Lou Southern 3. Johnson Central 4. Walton Verona 5. Gallatin County Anyone else
  17. Lickert won't do better than 7-3, and that's after he is able to manipulate the schedule to fit in a few cupcakes as he did at Holmes. The guy really is overhyped as a coach. Look at his overall record at Holmes and Dayton, and then look at his record (and scores of the games) against quality opponents (teams that are usually 6-4 or better)
