Well if you look at BGP predictions compared to any other state power ranking system it didn't make much sense when it came to their prediction.

When some season records are made up of cupcakes and others are made up of higher class teams it doesn't show anything.

You're missing the point! It's the idea that a group of people actually thought this through and figured they would be hosting a playoff on their way to a state championship, which isn't happening! I hope this was ego making this decision and not pure stupidity. Playing game on Saturday isn't big deal but their should be advantages to being the host team. You shouldn't have to ask the visiting team,"what night is good for you?". Those Saturday were because field issues not because one team's brain trust is lacking. Pete, from your post you seem pretty reasonable. Quit lying yourself and realize this was one or the other stupidity or ego.

Holy Cross (Covington) scheduled a sports fundraiser for this Friday so now scheduling the NCC/HC playoff game has become an issue. I guess HC figured they would be hosting a 2nd round playoff game and could just schedule it on Saturday. Now NCC is being pressured into moving the game from Friday to either Thursday or Monday. It's exam week at NCC so Thursday is bad and Saturday gives them one less day to recover and stay healthy for a regional final. Come on HC.....really?

I would love to predict that this game is going to be clean but I think we all will be disappointed if we hope for that. It will be ugly! It took all of about 3 minutes for it to start last game. Knowing a rough season is coming to an end isn't going to make it any easier. This isn't a dig at HC because NCC has plenty of punks but last game #3 should have been tossed. The things he was saying that was directed toward the Newcath sideline were bad so I can only imagine what he was saying on the field. I hope both sides can at least keep it to a minimum and no Newcath players get tossed and also both teams stay injury free.
