Have they completely packed it in for the year?

It's been a strange with losing to Campbell Co which happen about once every decade or two. Injuries hit early on as well as players at different positions. I know your squad knows all about injuries and its great to hear those boys are recovering. NCC has started to roll but tonight always ends up being a fun game. Great atmosphere, late playoff like. Everyone wants to win this game but at the end of the day it doesn't really give an indication of what the two teams will do in the playoffs.

Shouldn't matter for #4, last 2 state titles for NCC they lost this game.

Looking forward to the possibility of Walton/NCC. I don't think it would be very close it would be great to see Walton to the third round.

I'm going to go ahead and play the percentages with this one and say you haven't played more competitive sports than me and those who know who I am will tell you the percentages are pretty low. Enough about that, this thread isn't what YOU think of yourself as a sports legend. I'm not sure what your hostility is about but I stated in my previous post their are advantages for both. Playing in big games are very important for preparing for playoffs and I know the coaches want it just as bad the kids but also want to stay injury free.

Well in most cases I think it is too early for a freshmen to playing varsity but with Smith he compliments the running game he only sees a couple of touchs a game.

Yeah it does sound stupid because if you played competitive sports and been on teams that have an oppurtunity to do something in the post season you know that momentum is big part of sports. That's why a game like this one in week 10 is so beneficial for both teams. The winner gets the momentum and confidence and both teams gets to play a highly competitive game before they both beat the snot out of the next opponent.

Both teams had uncommon starts but both are starting to hit stride. I know who I think is going to win!

Did you count the personal fouls for each team? NCC are the cheap shotters? Again #3 should have been thrown out of the game. As far as catching the ball.... If only our guys were better, If only our guys were more athletic, if only our guys could block or tackle. These are things bad teams talk about. Teams that get running clocks put on them in the 3rd q with 10 min left.....a running clock! This only for select HC fans that can't see past their fanhood.

Walton vs. HC would be a fun one to watch, I guess it would be a second match if Lloyd beats Newport.

Thank you for this being your last post on the topic. I'm sure HC people also appreciate it. Punt and kick returns are just like pass plays or sweeps in the regard that if you slow motion the replay you will find a penalty somewhere. How about less about how bad officials are and more about the special teams coaching.

Yeah, I think as fans sometimes we look at teams that struggle early and try to tell ourselves they are going to get a lot better but sometimes we are blinded by our fanhood. With that being said NCC has gotten healthy and they're playing well as a team. HC struggles their O-line and D-line and I don't know if that has gotten better or worse over the course of the season. This NCC team reminds me of the 06 season b/c they lost some close games early and record wise looked rough but everyone involved the program they had what it takes to make a good run. The one thing I really think could have been exploited if NCC wanted to was the one on one match up on the outside with Franzen and the CB. The good news for HC is they will be tested again next week with Holmes who is more talented. They can take it as learning tool or pack it up and call it a year. Last night it seemed by their body language as well screaming from the sideline they were frustrated pretty quickly.

We are gracious! This started with shriek crying about officials not helping HC stay within 3 Tds. Most people on both sides have a good grasp of the game of football. With that being said the reason I think it's really discouraging for HC is the one advantage they thought had was the speed and athletic ability of Beal and Pouncy. Thought was way overshadowed by Hayes,Myers, and even Smith the freshmen. Also NCC's D sent LBs only twice and gave up 3 points. Oh, #3 should have been thrown out of the game.

Delusional. If Doc Brown and Marty Mcfly could show up in the Dolorian, you could give them a note to give the officials to look extra close at the punt returns at the HC long run HC would have only lost by 3 TDs. Really? HC couldn't punch it in on 4 tries from the 3 yd line. If I were HC fan I would probably concentrate on things like that.

I'm going to act like you didn't say that......nope, can't let that go. HC starters didn't move the ball against the NCC's JV and they had their chance considering they stayed in until 2 min left in the game. Oh, and I figured out who calls the plays on the HC sideline. Coach Koz. How do I know that? He told his QB, so. If you think it was close, no worries, you'll get your shot week 3 of the playoffs....if HC gets there. I know NCC will.
