Regional Finals round 2012 (Wow so many good games)

Featured Replies

Looking at this weeks games I was struck by how many great or at least very interesting games there were. Here are a few that I wish I could attend or at least DVR.

1A Frankfort / Beechwood...High scoring Frankfort versus perennial 1A power Beechwood

1A Hazard / Williamsburg...defending State Champs against upstart Williamsburg with overwhelming offense

2A Danville / Somerset...Long time rivals playing for Regional title second year in a row

3A Central / Bell...@ Log Mountain...do I need to say anything else?

3A Breathitt / Belfry...nuf said

4A Lex Cath / Boyle...Ditto

4A Cov Cath / Highlands...Highlands playing only team in 4A with a chance (even if slight) of hanging with them

5A Cooper / Franklin Co...Franklin has scored 709 points (11-0) versus Cooper (10-1) who have only given up 142 points

6A Trinity / St X...(see Breathitt / Belfry comment) Mike Glaser's last game against Trinity

I LOVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!!!

The bolded says it all. Jumper you are not kidding, would love to see quite a few of these games. Could take the 3 minute ride up to "caketown" for the 4A tilt, but the loyal NewCath supporter in me says the 2 minute drive to Newport Stadium is the choice.

Hopefully in two weeks we can have a nice chat before the Breds and Jumpers hit the field. :thumb:

I lose all respect for you (if it matters lol) for not having Bowling Green/Warren Central on the list.

Biggest rivalry in the BG area.

I should have included them, but after 24-0 BG win earlier I kinda expected the same this time around. Wouldn't have put T and X if not for Glasers last game...T will roll again.

Me too! And a hammer...and a screwdriver...and a backo...and an earth-mover.

GO BEARCATS!!!!

I know he will. Have a ton of respect for him and known him a long time. He's definitely going in the right direction.

I think that's on the low end, I think it gets out of hand quick.
